Government sets stock limits on chana and tur until Sept 30
The government has implemented stock limits on tur and chana as part of a series of measures to control the prices of essential commodities. Stock holding limits are set at 200 tonne for wholesalers, five tonne for retailers, and 200 tonne for large chain retailers.

Centre greenlights energy transmission schemes worth Rs 13,595 crore
The Centre has approved new energy transmission schemes worth Rs 13,595 crore, which facilitate the evacuation of 9 GW of renewable energy from Rajasthan and Karnataka. These schemes, to be implemented via Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode, are part of the 500 GW renewable energy capacity target set for 2030.

The strategic India-Middle East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEE-EC) is set to begin its India-UAE segment, with a digital port information exchange platform expected to be operational within the first 100 days of the Modi government.
This initiative aims to enhance trade connectivity but faces challenges due to tensions in West Asia. However, recent support from the G7 has bolstered its prospects. The phased corridor will facilitate cargo movement from locations in India to Israel.
Indian advertising market to grow 11.8% in 2024, led by digital media
The Indian advertising market is forecasted to grow by 11.8% in 2024, reaching ?1,22,155 crore, primarily fueled by digital media. Traditional media ad revenue is anticipated to increase by 8.4% to ?64,398 crore, while digital media is expected to surge nearly 16%, reaching ?57,757 crore. India's traditional media market share is double that of global and APAC averages. However, digital's share of total ad spending could rise to 50% by 2026.
