Following my recent post on explaining how and why rails are named as they are at British Steel, I'm happy to say that a fuller and more professional guide to our products has been published here.
The guide doesn't go into the technical detail of the 100+ rail profiles that can be produced, but it does try to highlight how the various grades stack-up at tackling common industry challenges. Feel free to share it to anyone who might benefit from this quick guide to rail.
Rails to survive track degradation
Rail products to solve environmental challenges
Whilst it is impossible to cover every possible track scenario I hope you find it a useful indicator of the performance qualities of each type of rail product. If you'd like more information not found in the guide or for any other questions then I or my colleagues may be able to help so please get in touch.
