The Electrical Inspector of Government of India (EIG) has conducted a detailed inspection and given his approval to Kolkata Metro to charge these two newly received rakes with 750V DC electric supply. The new rakes are equipped with modern amenities and enhanced safety and technical features.
After this nod from EIG other mandatory inspections of these rakes will be possible before introducing them to commercial services.
Kollam Station to be redeveloped: RITES partners with M Senthil Kumar for platform upgradation works
RITES Limited, awarded a significant Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to M/s M Senthil Kumar Class 1 Contractor for platform upgradation and allied works in the redevelopment of Kollam Railway Station on EPC Mode.
The Contractor shall construct the Project Facilities in accordance with the provisions of this agreement including providing required services and getting approvals from the authority & completion testing and handing over to the authority.
The Airborne Electromagnetic Lidar Survey is set to be conducted for the Lumding – Silchar Hill Section of Northeast Frontier Railway to ensure timely implementation of the project,
The Survey will be conducted after and during monsoon and will analyse the critical location in detail for the type of soil strata, stability of slope, presence of natural or formed fault tending any movement of hill, water accumulation beneath the soil strata, formation of slip circle and stability of hill toe.
