Rafael Class II, MBA Philosophy on Inclusive Diversification Leading Equality

As an educated agent of change, an advocate of DEI, and a servant leader, I aspire to provide our next generation of innovative leaders with an opportunity that will transform them into versatile individuals. Therefore, encouraging individuals to become reflective thinkers who examine their ethical values, current aspirations, and perspectives about a more diverse understanding of inclusive opportunities leading to equality which includes the importance of human capital and development. I strive to enable individuals to develop lifelong habits of curiosity, integrity, honesty, persistence, empathy, and passion for the pursuit of knowledge that will ultimately guide them to become responsible, innovative leaders equipped with practical skills to create a more balanced foundation.?

To accomplish these goals, I look to facilitate practical activities that promote educated interaction. Encouraging individuals to engage in the community through educational networks and service-learning opportunities opens the forum for actual experiences. Therefore, setting the foundation which provides the opportunity for individuals to develop their maximum potential within them. Promoting confidence to continue a successful journey ambitiously.?

My role as an advocate of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is to ensure that my actions and verbal perspective display an outcome of versatility, respect, and equal opportunity in grasping the bigger picture. Encompassing the connections between the importance of cultural differences in human capital unifies our infrastructure of establishing inclusive diversification leading to equality. To attain this goal, I strive to promote an authentic understanding of empathy, realists, relevances, and persuasion. Observing patterns in human encounters construct a better understanding of our instinct for interaction. Likewise, I encourage open articulation to compare ideas and conceptions.?

Openly discussing initial beliefs, abstractions, and formulations of concepts allows us to engage and address preconceptions and misconceptions. Equally, making every effort to foster case studies in all of our experiences so that individuals can make more informed decisions that may or may not affect our society. Encouraging individuals to generate questions becoming reflective thinkers who engage in active self-evaluation related to issues, pedagogy, and processes, and consistently facilitating the development of critical thinking. Additionally, I strive to help develop and demonstrate interpersonal qualities that can promote meaningful relationships that can positively contribute to inclusive diversification leading to equality.

My scholarly activity also resonates with your institution's goals and values that focus on academic excellence, success, and innovative preparation for future generations. I am genuinely committed to my mission of being an advocate of DEI through professional development and effective practical engagement. I also believe that my intellectual activity level keeps me current and at the forefront of my field. Accordingly, my scholarly activity and service to the discipline strongly influence my pedagogical practice, directly impacting my abilities. I genuinely enjoy modeling researched best practices in the field and sharing my passion for the discipline. I strive to inspire anyone who crosses my path through my words and actions providing them with encouragement that will empower them.

I firmly believe that engaging, and involving others with authentic practical experiences that I have obtained outside of the classroom has become highly complementary to the mission. I also believe that service is an opportunity to put research into action, and practice and to shape those around you in the community, including yourself. Thus, I believe that the practical perspective is a way of dedicating yourself to the cause of establishing true inclusive diversification leading to equality. Therefore, increasing the passion and expertise with actions to the communities that we serve. Additionally, I believe that only through practical experience can you build a community, and work toward accomplishing your goals by working collaboratively with others in your department, college, university, and discipline to enhance and serve our learning community. Since I view the community as the most authentic form of an impactful culture, it is vital to expose and engage through practical experience which would reflect to promote a stable infrastructure.

My perspective is based on an extensive amount of experience from growing up in poverty, serving 3.5 years in the New York Department of Corrections, obtaining my MBA in one year, and working with nonprofits focusing on supporting senior citizens, families in communities affected by poverty, and introducing individuals to financial literacy. Therefore, bringing the versatile perspective of a broad range of experiences illuminates my determination to inclusively diversify change leading to equality. Growing up in New York Housing Projects surrounded by drugs, violence, and extreme poverty I learned the importance of empathy, humility, and humbleness. Therefore, when in NYDOC dealing with such a diverse group of individuals I was able to expand my perspective on the understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially by attending and obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management focusing on Human Capital. Once released, I enrolled in the MBA program focusing on strategic leadership at USW, where I completed the program in one year. Now I am completing my EdD in Higher Education Administration from the respected & regionally accredited Liberty University.???

In conclusion, I find the importance of promoting diversity in an inclusive perspective inevitable, in order to increase the productive growth of equality, therefore, our efforts as advocates and visionaries are necessary to the continued acknowledgment of the importance of diversifying the global community. I would like to express my complete gratitude to anyone who took the opportunity to acknowledge my philosophy on Inclusive Diversification Leading to Equality.
