Radovan Karadzic

Court of Human Rights

On Thursday 22 March Radovan Karadzic received the sentence of 40 years in prison from the Court of Human Rights in Den Hague. He was recognized guilty of genocide in Srebrenica 1995. War crimes during the siege of Sarajevo which cost the lives of 10 000 people. Crimes against humanity in several cities during the Bosnian war. He was the leader of the Serbs in Bosnia & Herzegovina during Bosnia war, the president of the self-proclaimed Serb Republic from 1992 to 1996 and founder of the national party "The Serb Democratic Party". He was born June 19, 1945 in Petnjica in Montenegro.

This is a judgement that many in Bosnia & Herzegovinia have been waiting for in many years, and that was the right decision by the Court. In the shadow of this so happened that the Marketplace in Sarajevo was attacked by morters, and a number of innocent people were killed. Immediately there was a focus on Serbs who were initially imposed guilt. An investigation was to be commenced by United Nations special investigatiors, to analyze the scene of impact, in order to find out from where and by whom to claim responsebility. The investigators were denid access to the scene of impact for political reason manipulated by USA. It is later confirmed it was the Bosnians who were to blame for sacrificeing their own in a political game against the Serbs.

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin el-Husseini was a Palestinian nationalist and a religious leader. He was a member of Jerusalem's most distinguished families, and he held two high Offices, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and of a higher Araba Committee. He was born 1897 in Jerusalem Israel. He died in Beirut July 4, 1974 in Beirut Lebanon.

After WW I, the greate Powers of Europe jockeyed for influence in the Middle East's oild fields and trade routes with France and Britain holding mandates throughout most of the region. In the 1930s, the fascists regime that arose in Italy and Germany sought greater stakes in the area, and began courting Arab leaders to revolt against their British and French custodians. Among their many willing accomplices was Jerusalem Grand Mufti Haj Amin el-Husseini, who fled Palestine after agitating against the British during the Arab revolt 1936 - 1939. He found refuge in Iraq - another of Her Majesty's mandate - where he again topped the British most wanted list after helping to pull the strings behind the Iraqi coup of 1941. The revolt in Bagdad was orchestrated by Hitler as a part of strategy to squeeze the region between the pincers of Rommel's troops in North Africa, German forces in Caucasus and pro-Nazi forces in Iraq. However, in June 1941 British troops put down the rebellion and the Mufti escaped via Tehran to Italy and eventually to Berlin.

To show gratitude towards his hosts, in 1943 the Mufti travelled several times to Bosnia, where on orders of the SS he recruited the notorious "Hanjar Troopers" a special Bosnian Waffen SS Company which slaugh-tered 90 % of Bosnias Jews and burned countless Serbian churches and villages, and killed numbers of Serbian citizens. These Bosnian Muslims recruits rapidly found favor with SS chief Heinrich Himmler who established a special Mullah Military School in Dresden.

The only condition the Mufti set for his help was that after Hitler won the war, the entire Jewish population i Palestine should be liquidated. After the war, the Mufti fled to Switzerland and from there escaped via France to Cairo, where he was warmly received. The Mufti used funds received earlier from the Hitler regime to finance the Nazi-inspired Arab Liberation Army that terrorized Jews in Palestine.
