The stakeholder engagement meeting held at the hapaSpace Conference Room was a pivotal moment for R4DAC. Attended by representatives from hubs, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), women-led start-ups, government officials, and other key stakeholders, the meeting set the stage for the campaign's goals and activities. The event, facilitated by Naomi Kokuro, the marketing manager, featured an overview of the project by Philippina Beatrice Appiah Brefo, the project manager, who discussed the objectives and expected outcomes of R4DAC.

Key contributions from stakeholders included:

Publicity Strategies: Suggestions were made to emphasize the importance of digital adoption, advertise on popular radio programs, and utilize various platforms such as information centers, social media, and churches.

Radio Session Scheduling: Recommendations for airing sessions in the morning or evening and structuring them to include presentation and call-in segments to maximize engagement.

Content and Training: Identifying gaps in digital adoption among women-led MSMEs, such as usability issues and lack of awareness about digital tools' impact on business, led to proposals for training on platforms like Canva, data privacy, smartphone usage, and digital payment systems.

These insights were invaluable in shaping the R4DAC campaign to be inclusive, effective, and impactful.

Engaging Discussions on Oyerepa TV: Reaching the Masses

On July 12th, 2024, R4DAC took to the airwaves with an engaging discussion on Oyerepa TV, focusing on digital adoption and basic tips for MSMEs to grow their businesses. The live session was a resounding success, providing practical advice and sparking thoughtful discussions.

Naomi Kokuro, the Marketing Manager, emphasized the power of smartphones as business tools. She shared simple yet effective tips, such as taking high-quality pictures or videos, including contact details in posts, and consistently sharing content on digital platforms to build a strong online presence.

Grace Asantewaa, the Research Lead, highlighted the importance of data privacy and security. She advised MSMEs to be cautious about clicking on links and granting app permissions and provided tips on setting and safeguarding passwords.

The session resonated with viewers, evident from the buzzing phone lines and lively interactions. The discussions not only educated the audience on the benefits of digital tools but also addressed their concerns about data security, making digital adoption more accessible and less daunting.

The Vision of R4DAC: Empowering Women through Digitalization

The R4DAC campaign aims to use radio engagement to educate the masses, especially women, on leveraging digitalization for their businesses. By providing practical knowledge and addressing the specific needs of women-led MSMEs, R4DAC seeks to create a sustainable impact, helping businesses thrive in the digital age.

As the anticipation builds, R4DAC is set to be a game-changer in the realm of digital adoption.
