Tachyon Aerospace is a research and development company thriving with innovation. The company’s research extends back 35 years in propulsion systems, spacecraft design, natural and planetary sciences prior to the official formation of the company. With one of the proprietary technologies developed particularly focusing on Magnetic Physics and Frequency. The research led to understanding the phenomena of the Earth’s functionality and processes of self-sustaining natural systems. Specifically, the principals of the Earth’s magnetic field surrounding the planet. The Earth’s magnetic fields are crucial for sustaining life on the planet and their occurrence has perplexed the scientific community for eons.

One of Tachyon Aerospace’s research initiatives has been to study and duplicate the Earth’s naturally occurring magnetic fields. This lead to a breakthrough enabling the development of a new breed of technologies based on the discovery of “Out-of-Phase-Electro-magnetic Resonance Frequency” over a set of specific spectrums to create stimulated “Bi-polar Magnetic Fields”. The successful simulation and demonstration of the “Bi-polar Magnetic Field Generator” has shown it possible to generate a reproduction of an extremely enhance version of the Earth’s magnetic field. This field will function as a radiation shield for the Tachyon Aerospace Space-flight Vehicle (the TAV 1). This research is proprietary to the company and has proven itself to be foundational, serving as the basis for many subsequent designs and any future innovation

The technological breakthroughs that we have had at Tachyon Aerospace are now leading to the development of successful working radiation shields. Radiation Shielding is a fundamental stumbling block being experienced within the Aerospace industry at the moment. Many of the major Aerospace Agencies are working to solve this problem, because any successful space-flight destined to travel for any extended period of time through space & through the radioactive Van-Allen belts will require adequate radiation shielding for safe passage of the crew and the on-board systems. It is also understood that any astronauts experiencing extended periods of time in space will very lightly become extremely sick, and very possibly die due to the prolonged exposure to the background radiation in space. With the unpredictability of space weather, it makes it all but impossible for a crewed spacecraft to leave the limited safety of LEO, MEO, GEO which all exist below the radioactive Van Allen belts and venture out through the belts and beyond without having adequate radiation shielding in place.

There is now an air of urgency concerning the new understanding of space weather, and the threat of radiation and EMP`s from our sun. It’s being predicted that it could have catastrophic consequences in the near future Concerning most of the communications satellites in orbit that haven't been accustomed to adequate radiation and an EMP shielding. 

It’s been said that given recent space weather events, and the likelihood of it increasing, an unexpected EMP blast ore severe space weather could very likely force a world-wide communication's black out. Nearly all societies and businesses around the world rely on satellite for commerce, communications, basic internet and for many other important day-to-day functions on our cell phones that our society has grown to depend on. The sudden loss of satellite communication or even the partial loss of the network will most likely end up causing world-wide panic and could trigger a societal breakdown within days of an event happening.

It is imperative that we start to take steps to work towards addressing and rectifying these issues. The aftermath of an EMP from the sun has been estimated to cause trillions of dollars’ worth of damage. From having to replace the damaged hardware to re-constructing ground systems to re-establish communications. The process could take an unprecedented amount of time to come back online and with the lack of communications would be absolutely unpredictable. One of the necessary steps needs to be the retrieval of the existing satellites and replacing them or refurbishing them with adequate radiation and EMP shielding, it would be possible to complete this task in orbit in most cases so the satellite dose not need to be returned to earth for refurbishment. 

In the years it has taken the Aerospace industry to develop the eco system which has propelled our modern economy and industry to new leaps won’t stand peril to how quick the destruction a single EMP can cause. Years’ worth of establishments could be disrupted within hours. It shows the fragile nature of our existing systems and the urgency required to re-develop an infrastructure designed to withstand the devastation which regularly occurs in the environment of space. With the resources available for established aerospace organisations and satellite companies, together are in an urgency to construct a valid solution instead of counting down the days till a foreseeable EMP strike, or the planet being subject to severe space weather, ore rather explore an innovative solution to make every day count.
