Radha Krishna's beautiful Raasleela

Deha Kunda is located at Uncha Gaon near Barsana. It is the village of Lalita Sakhi. Once there lived a poor Brahman in Barsana who had a daughter of marriageable age, but he was too poor to arrange for enough money to get his daughter married to the kind of man she deserved. But, as He was a resident of Braj ,he had heard of the divine leelas of Shri Krishna from the Brajwaasis and knew that He was not an ordinary boy! So he finally, made up his mind to go to Shri Krishna for help.

When he met Shri Krishna, he was playing with his gopa friends! When the man saw Shri Krishna, he couldn't believe that he was the boy, whom he had heard about from the people and who was praised by all the residents of Braja, because He seemed to be a normal gopa just like his friends! But still, the brahmana approached Madhava and fell to His lotus feet saying “Oh Krishna, you are the only one who can help me out! I have a daughter of marriageable age and I wish to marry her to an eligible man! But, I don't have enough money for that! Your father, Nand Maharaja has 9,99,000 cows, so you can probably help me with some wealth, please don't deny as you are my last ray of hope! Either ask Nand Maharaja to give me some of his cows or give me something valuable that you possess!”

When Shri Krishna heard this, He smiled innocently and said" Yes! My father has 9,99,000 cows ,but baba you have come to me for help,and so I wish to help you myself! Saying this Sri Krishna brought some water from the Yamuna river, chanted some mantras and then said “Radha is My only and entire wealth .She is the most valuable thing I have ever possessed! She happens to be my Sri .There is nothing which is more dear to me than Radharani. I am giving you my most beloved and valuable possession, Shrimati Radhika. Please accept Her!”

When the Brahman heard this he was shocked and he started beating his head! He said" Are you helping me or are you trying to trick me?I had one daughter and I couldn't get her married and now I have two! What do you want to do Kanha?” Hearing this Sri Krishna said" You had asked me to help you and I did that! I gave you what was dearest to me! What else shall I do now? I don't about the rest,I have done my part, rest you decide!”

The sakhis of Radhika mata heard this conversation and told Her everything that had happened between Sri Krishna and the brahmana. After hearing all this Shrimati Radharani got worried and said “ Krishna gave me away to the brahmana without even taking my permission? How dare He do that?” She immediately rushed to Sri Krishna with Her sakhis and said “ Kanha, what is all this I am hearing? You gave me away to a brahmana without even taking my permission?”

Sri Krishna said" What could I have done? The brahmana had come to me for help, and he asked me for my valuable possession, and so I gave Him my most precious possession that is you, Radhe!” Shrimati Radharani thought for a while and then turned to Lalita sakhi and said" Sakhi, quickly go and bring a beam balance!" When Lalita sakhi brought it, Shrimati Radharani gathered all Her sakhis and said “ I will sit on each side of this beam balance,and I order each one of you to keep all the gold ornaments that you are wearing on the other side of the beam balance! “

The sakhis obeyed Radhika maa and acted accordingly! After sometime, when the weight of the gold ornaments matched Radharani's weight,She ordered Her sakhis to stop! She then went to the brahmana and said" Baba, you can take all this gold along with you,this will help you in getting your daughter married and Krishna's words will also be kept as the gold has exactly the same weight as mine!” Sri Krishna including all the sakhis of Shrimati Radharani and the brahmana were astonished at Her intelligence and they all agreed happily!

Sri Krishna then said" Why didn't this idea occur to me?” Hearing this the sakhis started laughing out loud and said" You may defeat our Thakurani in wresting or in terms of physical strength but She is invincible when it comes to matters related to intellect, !” nce Sri Krishna was having some kind of conversation with Mata Radhika, who was looking so much beautiful that the brightness of millions of autumn moons would also faint infront of Her. Seeing Her unmatchable beauty Sri Krishna said" Oh devi, your beauty has no match in the three worlds! Your face is as radiant as a moon……”

‘Stop!'said Shrimati Radharani! “You compared my beauty to that of the moon! Don't you know that the moon has waxing and waning and it appears with it's full beauty and shine only once, do you want to say that my beauty too keeps increasing and decreasing?” Shocked at Her reaction Sri Krishna said,” But,… .but…” But She again stopped Him saying “ I said stop,enough is enough, I won't tolerate any more! The moon is even full of dark spots,so do you also want to say that my face is full of spots? Don't talk to me! I don't even want to look at you!”

Now, here Sri Krishna was thinking" Kya karne gaye they or kya hoga( what had I gone to do and instead what happened )! But I will have to convince Radhika anyhow, I can't live without talking to Her, I will do whatever is needed to convince Her!” Meanwhile Mata Radhika had gone on the top of a hill,and even even though it was winter season, fumes were coming out of Her! It was then that She saw a beautiful peacock who had bluish- black complexion dancing on the hill infront of Her! The peacock was dancing so elegantly that Maa forgot about all that had happened and started giving beats and rhythms, as the peacock danced!

“But, I have never seen such a beautiful peacock before in Barsana, this peacock is completely different and the way it is dancing,……..no ordinary peacock can dance so well. It must be that natkhat Krishna’s trick to convince me!" But now, when She came to know that the peacock was none other than Yashoda nandan Himself, She too couldn't control Herself, so She took the form of peahen and accompanied Him in dancing! The sight must have been soo soo much beautiful! RadhaKrishna dancing together as a peacock and a peahen! Seeing the divine couple, the gopikas too came out singing and playing different musical instruments to participate in the leela!

Long ago,there lived a saint in Barsana and he worshipped this lila of Radha and Krishna from the core of his heart, It was his total absorption and he longed to see this lila. Although he was blind he longed to see this lila of Radha and Krishna dancing in Barsana as peacocks. So he performed his sadhna with deep prayer and Srimati Radharani appeared to him. She said, “I will show you this lila but whatever you see you must paint so that others could come to see it.”He said, “ But Thakuraniji I am blind how will I paint? “At that time Barsana was a very dense forest.” How will I get paint brush? how will I get paints? How will I get canvas? How will I see what to paint?

Radharani express to him that you just make the endeavour sincerely and I will give all help. He dug in the grounds and got the minerals and made the paints some how or other got what ever is required to make the brushes and the canvas and it was all there. Although he had no material vision to even see the ray of the light of the sun he was given the vision for the full panoramic view of the pastime of Krishna and Radharani dancing as peacocks. However, She, the Daughter of Sri Vrishbhanu is the ressence of His very life as well.”Each leelas of Sri RadhaKrishn are very precious and beautiful. Which always gives a beautiful lessons. But I think for me, when Radha became Krishna and Krishna became Radha, that was the most beautiful leela. Because this leela proves that Radha's love is beyond from everyone's.

Once Radha was expressing her love for Krishna and was talking with Krishna about her difficult life. She told him that her life is very difficult and hard. She was telling him it would be nice if she was Krishna and he was Radha. She told him being Radha is not easy. Krishna will never understand how it feels like when you are Radha. Then after hearing all these things from Radha, he said he want to become Radha then he'll understand how it feels like when someone is Radha. Then Krishna was wearing Saari of Radha and Radha was wearing Krishna's Peacock feather. Krishna thought just by wearing a dress like Radha, he'll become Radha. Then he said that he became Radha. After hearing this Radha smiled at him.

Then Radha said, You just took external form of Radha. It doesn't make you Radha. When you'll have a heart like Radha which have eternal love for Krishna then you'll become Radha. Whenever Radha is separated from Krishna, she becomes restless and starts yearning for him. And whenever she meet Krishna, she have a fear of separation from Krishna. She's afraid if she would have to separate from him after meeting. Without Krishna, Radha feels like she's a dead body. And after Separation, she has ocean of sadness.

Society insults Radha because she loves Krishna and whenever Krishna play his flute, Radha becomes restless and she is attracted towards Krishna. Then she come to meet him. But other people insults her and and criticized Radha a lot. After hearing all these things from Radha, he realised how hard life Radha has. He realised that nobody can love him in this universe like Radha does. And nobody can become like Radha. Jay Radhe Krishna
