  • ?Nick Kyrgios?lost his U.S. Open match Tuesday night -- and then he lost his mind ... smashing two of his rackets on the court in an epic meltdown at the famous tennis tournament. (TMZ)

  • The probability of a three-quarter point hike moved to 82% on Wednesday morning, according to the?CME Group’s FedWatch tracker?of fed funds futures bets. Powell will speak Thursday in a Q&A session with the Cato Institute.

  1. Number one, your address. We don't need the full address: city and state only
  2. Two: objective statement. Gotta go. That was 1970. We are in 2022.
  3. Three: we don't need your entire work history since you started your professional career. What we need to focus and hone in on is tailoring your search and résumé to the role you're applying for.
  4. Next, weak action verbs. 'I helped', 'I was responsible for' nah. Take some of these recommendations I'm sharing here, and apply them to your résumé. Erica recommends using active verbs like: streamlined, managed, implemented, improved, strategized, increased, produced, and generated.
  5. Finally, references available upon request. We don't need it. We will ask you if we need your references.

These days, my feed seems to be filled with happy announcements of analysts fleeing investment banking heading to the “promise land” of private equity. Those who have been successful in making the jump have similar backgrounds – they completed an AN program at Bank A or completed one year at Bank A and 2 years at Bank B. Loyalty seems to outplay brand in this market; 3 years of strong M&A or LevFin seems to be the minimum pay-to-play. I am not seeing Associates (particularly newly minted MBA career switchers) able to make that move into PE.

IB Analyst roles are few and far between. Banks are still trying to digest their new hires. There is still HIGH demand across the street for A2A promotes and strong lateral Associate 1/2s but they remain a scare commodity (see above). In IB, jumpers have fallen out of favor as we are seeing more qualified candidates come through our pipeline. One exception is folks who have made a boo-boo and jumped to a bad corp dev situation. Most of those candidates have been well-received if they realize a year in corp dev does not equal a year in IB. Cast a wide net in this market – it’s definitely a little funky.

I also think putting where you want to high school is pointless on a resume . Maybe it makes sense when you are 25 but after awhile it’s pointless
