Regular readers of my blog, The Espresso will know that I have been keenly following the progress of the drone for the last couple of years. LOVE THE DRONE! It seems the sport of drone racing is hitting its straps. The Drone Racing League is up and running and attracting sponsorship and high profile investors. Essentially it's racing in the skies featuring drones hitting speeds in excess of 120 mph. Each one has a small screen that allows the pilot to send the drone racing high above the ground at incredible speeds and it is attracting the interest of Sky Sports and ESPN. 

Recently it was announced that German insurer Allianz will sponsor the DRL in 2017 with the final event being staged at London's Alexandra Palace. The aim is to What Red Bull has done with extreme sports Allianz wants to do to with drone racing and digital sports apparently.

Every business leader should be looking at the drone and thinking what if? Don't ignore the drone.
