Race of Remembrance
UWR Morgan team at the Race of Remembrance
After more than a year of preparation development & testing, the UWR twin Morgan Plus Fours took to the racing circuit at Anglesey to participate in the Race of Remembrance (RoR), a twelve-hour endurance challenge across Remembrance weekend.
53 cars took to the circuit on Saturday 13th November for the first 6-hour stint & returned on the morning of Sunday 14th, with a break at 11am for two minutes silence on the grid.
Across the two days of racing, the Morgan cars performed well, with drivers & student team in good spirits. Ultimately, the lighter Caterham’s & Lotus' took the racing top spots due to their power-to-weight ratios, but the Plus Four Manual finished the 12 hours in a very creditable 14th place overall, having completed 356 laps in total. The Clubsport finished in 18th position with 348 laps in 12 hours and the Plus Four Manual from Mission Motorsport finished in 40th position of 53 cars.
