The Race For AI Agents - And Why It Matters

The Race For AI Agents - And Why It Matters

Alexander Fahie

From the worlds largest mega-corps to slick silicone valley based start-ups - the race to replace human tasks in global workplaces with agentic AI is in full flow.

Quick reminder: Agentic AI refers to AI systems that can act autonomously to achieve specific goals. These AI 'agents' are not just passive tools waiting for instructions; they are proactive, learning from experiences, making decisions, and interacting with their environment. In essence, they're like highly capable digital assistants that can take on complex tasks with minimal human intervention.

You might be asking, "well that all sounds interesting but why are people getting so excited about it?"

Simply, it comes down to value.

Current workplace statistics suggest that 81% of workers spend less than 3 hours daily on creative work, with inefficiencies in meaningful work costing the global economy $8.9 trillion annually.

For any organisation, whether it be a school, business or public body, being able to outsource these non-creative tasks to AI agents massively enhanced productivity and efficiency.

Both enabling them to more effectively utilise their workforce for only value adding tasks, or... by cutting now redundant headcount.

"In the future, every business will have an AI agent" Mark Zuckerberg

For some, this will read as a dystopian nightmare, the realisation of some Orwellian fantasy. With the giant tech companies the puppet masters. Watching our every move, orchestrating our utilisation, controlling membership.

But I don't think that's a fare reflection. We just need to make sure agentic AI is accessible to everyone...

Bridging the divide

So what is the plan to transform agentic AI into a tool for empowerment rather than a source of inequality? Simply, we need to bridge the digital divide. I do not believe that access to advanced AI technologies should be a privilege reserved for those in the know, or those with the cash. Small businesses, educational institutions, non-profits, and individual entrepreneurs stand to benefit immensely from agentic AI—provided they have the means to do so.

TAISK's Bold Move: Making Agentic AI Accessible

In a bold move that's got us buzzing with excitement (and, admittedly, a touch of nerves), TAISK is set to relaunch with a ground-breaking approach. We're not just ditching the traditional website— we're revolutionizing how people access and interact with agentic AI. It's a bit like showing up to a black-tie event in sneakers but then revealing you've got a jetpack strapped to your back. Unexpected, but utterly game-changing.

So, why is TAISK shaking things up? For the past 18 months I have been talking with SMEs and Schools about AI. Whilst there are a few pioneers and early adopters, the vast majority dont see how agentic AI (not chatGPT remember) can impact their organisations. It's a leap of faith therefore to commission an agentic AI build or release budget to subscribe to TAISK.

Websites, the stalwart of product marketing for decades cant cut it, our audience is too vast, too disparate to communicate with effectively within the confines of a beautifully designed page.

What is more, often, fantastic AI technology is hidden behind labyrinths of sign-up forms, paywalls, and interfaces that seem to require a PhD in computer science to navigate. It's enough to make anyone feel overwhelmed.

Team TAISK thought, "There's got to be a better way."

And that's when it hit us —why not cut out the middleman (in this case, the traditional website) and go straight to the source? By focusing on educational outreach, we're aiming to connect with users more directly, explaining what TAISK and agentic AI are all about in a way that's clear, engaging, and dare we say, fun. We can use communication tools that our users are already familiar with and talk directly to them. Think YouTube videos, Insta stories and LinkedIn Newsletters, like this one.

We're also implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), which means you'll be able to access TAISK using credentials you already have— (Google, Microsoft, or if youre using your work email it will be password-less.

Once you're in, you'll have immediate access to a range of agentic AI tools that TAISK has developed. Need help scheduling your week? There's an AI agent for that. Looking to boost your sales? We've got an AI sales agent ready to assist. These aren't just static programs—they're intelligent, adaptive agents that learn and improve as you use them.

But what if you have a specific need that their pre-built agents don't quite meet? No worries! TAISK is introducing a simple drag-and-drop interface that allows you to build your own agentic AI. It's like Lego for AI—snap together the building blocks you need, and voilà! You've got your own custom AI agent ready to tackle your unique challenges.

The goal here is to make agentic AI as easy to explore and use as popping round to your neighbour's for a cuppa. TAISK wants to remove those pesky barriers that often make advanced AI seem out of reach for the average person or small business.

Now, we'll admit it—TAISK's approach is a bit like jumping into the deep end without armbands. It's exciting but also a tad nerve-wracking. Will people understand what we're trying to do? Will they appreciate the simplicity and power of accessible agentic AI, or will we miss the comfort of a familiar website?

Can we beat the tech giants as a bootstrapped AI team?

These are questions worth pondering, but by taking this leap, TAISK is opening up new possibilities for how people can interact with and benefit from AI. It's about creating a more direct, personal connection with technology—one that doesn't rely on flashy web design or complex interfaces but on the practical, tangible benefits that agentic AI can bring to daily life or business.

Who knows? If this goes well, we might be starting a trend. Imagine a world where accessing and creating advanced AI is as simple as having a chat with a knowledgeable friend. That's the future we're working towards, one SSO login and drag-and-drop AI agent at a time.

The apprehension surrounding agentic AI is understandable. Any powerful technology brings with it a mix of excitement and concern. Yet, history has shown that with mindful implementation, technological advancements often lead to greater prosperity and quality of life.
