Australian Energy Employment Report (AEER)
We are excited to share that the Australian Government has launched the Australian Energy Employment Report (AEER). This report is a recommendation from our ‘Developing the Future Energy Workforce’ Opportunity Assessment published in October 2021.
It will provide insights into the energy workforce, support new government initiatives and planning for the energy workforce of the future.
The AEER is a national survey targeting businesses and organisations in, or directly involved with, the Australian energy sector. This includes those who work in supporting sectors, including consulting, finance, tax, legal, advocacy, policy and education.
If you want to help create a clean energy future and contribute to a smoother transition,?complete the survey here.?Survey closes on the 30th of April.
Projects
We have a number of exciting projects kicking off very soon,?here are two projects under our RACE for Everyone and RACE for Homes research themes.
Net zero precincts
The Net Zero Precincts Priority Project will test and trial new commercial, legal, governance and technology models for energy systems at 14 real world case study sites across Australia. 5 universities and more than 10 partners across the 14 sites lead this research that includes university campuses, shopping malls, existing and under development suburbs.
The sites are varied; residential, mixed use or light industrial and are either retrofit, infill or greenfield developments and are either at planning, delivery or operational stage.
This project is still open for investment partners to be a part of these trials.
Commencement date
The project is on track for Board Approval in May 2023 and will be?commencing in July 2023.
