An immediate and apparent distinction held by the Rabdan One is the fact that it is one of the first electric vehicles to be manufactured in the UAE. The Rabdan One was developed and manufactured by NWTN which is headquartered in Dubai, however, the manufacturing takes place in Abu Dhabi.

NWTN is in essence a Chinese brand. However, its aspirations and goals are all tied to the Middle East. The brand focuses on pioneering design, IoT technology, autonomous driving ADAS technology, and the whole EV ecosystem. Apart from manufacturing electric vehicles, the company is exploring green technology like hydrogen power, photovoltaics, and even energy storage.

The plug-in hybrid version features a 33kWh battery pack and a 1.5-litre petrol engine giving it a range of around 860 kilometres.

The fact that it has the longest range doesn’t affect its performance. The Rabdan One is powered by a 33kWh battery pack that drives two electric motors at the front and rear axles, giving it all-wheel-drive capabilities. The motors produce a combined output of 684hp and 1,040Nm! This allows the SUV to sprint from 0-100km/h in about 4.5 seconds.?
