rabbit hole, better & obsession
someone said to me the other day - better sales means better business
well… is that true?
not really…?
in fact if your business is c.r.a.p. or your product is as bad as they come, or if you do not believe yourself in what you’re selling - good luck making more sales?
.
the opposite is actually easier, closer to the truth, and something that all business owners should pay more attention to
BETTER BUSINESS = BETTER SALES.
but how do you make business better
as Seth Godin says - to make things better you need to make better things…
make? your product better
make your service better
make your relationship with employees better
make your relationship with customers better
[better for them…]
make your culture better
make your thinking better
make your communication better
make your processes better
when you focus on sales only you're gonna go down the rabbit hole
one thing will be on your mind and you're not gonna pay enough attention to many moving parts that need to work in perfect harmony in order for any organisation or machine to work properly
passion for sales and? numbers will turn into obsession and obsession is never a good thing…?
and - most likely - you are going to become that salesy, pushy, sleazy person no one likes ..
instead…. focus on “better,” focus on improving… and start with you…
[ i better be going… is 240 words anyway… see you next week…]
