Raazmatazz 2016
Its been a year I have penned down my experience about “Raazmatazz” but never posted. Since this is that time of the year again. While Aditians are busy in preparations, Yo’All Ex-Aditians!! Let us all relinquish those moments again?
A year back -
We ended the year 2016 with a bang. It was year of celebrations and fun while we nailed it with business numbers. It is nothing more than surreal – to witness the days pass by so fast.
Have you ever been part of an event which was so great that you keep talking about it throughout the next year and that time of every year? Yes I sure do as this was experience of lifetime. That’s what Aditi does to you. Yes, it happened to us – to Aditians. What am I talking about?
Raazmatazz - A luxurious, glamorous and entertaining event – a major contributing factor without which a successful year isn’t complete! Raazmatazz is Aditi’s Annual Day Celebration. It’s a big day at Aditi that ignites the adrenaline, evokes emotions and leaves people feeling inspired.
It all started when we got the first email about this year’s Raazmatazz – everyone started reminiscing the royal experience of the previous Raazmatazz. We were all so excited that the impatience for the arrival of event grew stronger every passing day after the announcement. The Movers – Shakers – Singers – MC’s – Drama Kings and Queens. The one thing that kept all of us at the edge of our seats were the teasers, nominations and announcements from Rakesh
Aditi Consulting – Our little island is a wealth of talented and creative minds – they can be notorious all the way to Antarctica.
Razzmatazz is not something which we just arrive as audience, enjoy and go. It is also something which is so close to our hearts, we all have been part of the journey from soup to nuts – the planning, the brainstorming, the practice sessions, re-planning - again practicing – till we ended up creating many awe-inspiring moments. It was a pleasant surprise knowing that MC’s, choreographer will all be from the floor – yes its all us – Razzmatazz is all about Aditians – how creative/talented we are and how we can get the fire balls rolling.
Our Razzmatazz core committee - people who have taken the responsibility of the whole show. I wonder how they have handled. When I asked Rakesh – how did he manage – it is indeed a humongous and daunting endeavour – he asked me one question – How would you eat an elephant, if you have to? I was honestly not sure how I would eat an elephant or even if I can eat one? His answer was – One bite at a time. I love this analogy – when you are doing such a huge thing and you have the whole responsibility to make it big – you take one step a time. And he reiterated, the planning was like a reminiscent of clock – the Razzmatazz Core Committee working together to turn the hands.
Strategy was executed like this – Rakesh (planning strategy and more), Managers – the Driving factors have started the ground work. Our Recruitment Managers and middle management were all super supportive. Alongside the recruitment, daily targets, meetings, appointments, and emails they made Razzmatazz practice a part of our daily target, which just hiked up the excitement.
Everybody had their own bundle to take care of– few people had more than what they can chew – it certainly had its share of challenges, little pinches of frustrations here and there. But in the end we got it right. Creating this experience wasn’t easy, but there are few sure-fire ways to get it done and we got the hang of it.
With all the crazy Razzmatazz preparations, the D-day finally arrived –
This Day – December 23rd:
We were going to the most awaited event of every year – Razzmatazz – we girls have started shopping 2 months before – now we all are set with the little details to very important details of what clutch/ear rings to go with!!! :)
And the venue – trust me it was beyond anybody’s expectation – open air – plush green – people in tux serving welcome drink and photographers clicking pics – a total Red-Carpet touch. We were enamored of the event: everybody – they were utmost elegant, outstanding and nothing less than a celebrity. Yea Aditians have spell bounded each other I can say. Evening started with Hi-Tea and as usual Shibin pumped up the energy. Imagine attire-a-like celebrity playing musical chairs and wall-rabbit-arrow :) it was freakawesome.
The colors visible in the twilight…the evening sky and the enthusiasm palpable in air – such perfect ambiance. To make it even more transcending we started the event with DIYA Lightning, creating positive energy and divine rays – it was intriguing. To begin this quintessential evening Ankita brought God Ganesha’s eyes on us in her serene way. What could go wrong when you seek the blessings from Lord of the Beginnings – The Vighanharta - The eventide was Just the Beginning to the Fun we were about to witness.
Accelerating the excitement – our Head Honcho Raja took the stage and heightened the zing in the audience by his speech and Q&A session. He recapped where we began, how far we had come, and what growth opportunities we have by being associated with Aditi – it is an undeniable sense of pride, dignity and satisfaction being part of the journey. Raja made it precise that nothing is under-layers in Aditi structure/process, everything what you need and aspire will come to you eventually, the key is to work together. He sure does have his charm with people he loves.
Right when we were filled with the inspiration then came the time for the most awaited part. DANCE, you cannot keep yourself together when they announce Bollywood. Yes, and when beauties and the hunks started grooving for the peppy number “Nashe si Chadgayi” in those jazzy costumes – that’s when the excitement has hit the sky, blasting the speakers, ending with “Kaala Chasma” with Chasmas ON.
Sate with the dose – we have settled down to commemorate the performances and hard work of Aditians through the year. Ready to clap for the Rockstars, it was time for Performance Awards. It was nothing less than amazing to see the top-performers getting on to the stage and promulgate their success stories – I secretly made a note of that – wishing to be there on stage for next Razzmatazz.
While we were busy involved in the event progress our Bings were not ignored – toothsome victuals were dished out – Making us even more delighted. Delicious snacks were served in uncountable varieties. I was practically grinning from left to right.
The Razzmatazz team has really put their heart and soul in to making this event a success – Latter to the performance award was Karaoke – Yippieeee!! Our rockstars they don’t need a guitar they can create wonders with just their voice. As they say about music - “Where words fail, music speaks”, I am actually out of words – one should experience the magic. When our guys and girls started singing the old melodies on tap-your-shoe tunes, we were pretty demanding and hooted “ONCE MORE – ONCE More and we did get the magic reiterated
Settling back from the trance of music – our master of ceremony has announced Boys Hip-Hop. Bring it on Lads –Handsome guys on floor Its’ just not any dance it was dance to MJ’s Number – the king of pop followed by AR Rahman the Maestro kick – they just killed it. I don’t recall people being in their seats – how can they be – you should dance along for Humma Humma song – it is a rule and no exceptions to it.
While we were still in the Humma mood – that’s when MaD ads group claimed the stage – fun, entertainment, masti, music is one thing and mothers unconditional love is entirely other thing. The skit was not very subtle about the message, it kicked the feeling in guts. No matter how successful you are and where ever you go, you are always a kid to your MOM. There is always the time to reach home and reach before it is too late. Beautiful message which evoked deep emotions with a magical voice narrating it behind screen Pragya and they did not forsake giggles here – it was a package of giggles and eternal love of Mommy
With this divine feeling of Moms love, we entered into Tenure awards. Honoring the Aditians for whom Aditi is a second home, those who have dedicated their time and energy, have put their heart and soul into Aditi to make it what it is today. I am sure it’s a proud felling and a close to heart moment for them to come on to the stage and proclaim their love for Aditi and to take the perks provided home :)
Did I tell you - there was also sumptuous food on the right side of our cluster sitting? Had the time of my life – sitting there, being part of an awesome company, clapping for peeps who did well and not letting go of any chance to hoot and cheer. Being a foodie, I made sure I tasted every possible dish that was there and there were many.
Such a climate, being Bangloreans we all are in love with the climate here. The venue being an open air lawn, giving us ample space and the chill feeling – could not help but feel chillaxed.
While we were feeding our tummies, next performance was announced - Semi classical dance – and the girls with pretty costumes were all giggling and ready to start the show . Guess which song blares out the speaker – Taal se Taal Mila. We just nailed it, the audience was overwhelmed.
Alright, Bollywood style - done. Semi classical style - done. Right before somebody misses the Mass numbers, How about a little Dhinchak? The dandanaka style! There was an audible gasp among the audience when three girls came on to the stage in lungis It definitely did not look like lungi dance, it was spicy mix of jatka of tolly-bolly-kolly – wood. The mere variations have kept us grooving and yes people were whistling and clapping. That is when we have underlined there are Katrinas and Kareenas in Aditi – our own glamour pool.
Variety is the spice of life and here is when folks were asking for more, our top models have taken to the stage. Every one of us have a fashion icon we love a lot. After Razzmatazz if you ask any Aditian who is your favourite icon they might name one of the girls/boys who walked the ramp on the D-Day, can it get any better? Yes it can, especially when you see the flamboyant pairs walking the ramp with panache. The succinct elegance, flair, spirit of the guys has added the WoW factor – they can be superstars but they chose Aditi instead and it is the current Vogue isn’t it? Bolded and embossed is another fact that we have Padukones and John Abrahams in Aditi.
Time was dwindling but not the excitement, instead it’s the other way around. Excitement went to its peak level and here came the performance that you can say - blew the roof off. Lunatic Boys at Aditi took the stage by storm. What a crazy, twisted, witty show. This was the performance everyone was anxious to watch. Reason being it was stealthily practiced in washroom; training room and their whereabouts of practice sessions were never known to anyone. The fact that the concept of it was kept hush-hush it has elevated the anticipation among the audience. And they did put up a thunderous show. They had us splitting our sides, I can say it this way too FOCLOL "falling off chair, laughing out loud" kind of performance. I prefer not to explain those moves, just because we probably can’t get those out of our minds, ever. Take a glimpse of it -
Click on this link - Lunacy at its Peak!!! I am NOT responsible for what you see Though!
Such an experience, by the time the Lunatic group left the stage, audience were electrically charged. Aditians are never out of energy, the transformers with ample amount of liveliness.
With the compliments from the President of company on the way the event was planned – we step in to the most awaited Gala – it was the time for the DJ to set the stage on fire. We had no idea what was in store for us till Venessa took up the stage and rocked us with the peppy numbers. Was it cold? Damn Yes it was, in fact very cold, past midnight in December Bangalore climate, but hell, who cares, we in reality were sweating and lost in music waving to the beats.
Such a clean event it was, flawless organizing, the crucial part “the audience” Aditians, no doubt they are all creative, witty, audacious nevertheless they are the most disciplined, professionals, meticulous in behavior. they sure follow the thumb rule – Have responsible Fun. Sincere thanks goes to those gentleman who made every women present in the event feel –secured, safe, happy ! Hats Off. When some of us were given the chance to be the Master of ceremony - What a wonderful honor – however a little intimidating too. It is not only watch the clock and give announcements – it is more significant than that. Only with the help of spectators one can be on the stage, get the nerve and do their best, credits to the wonderful audience – my peeps, they are the loveliest people who accepted me and helped me do my first ever MCing.
It is not performances, food, drinks and people that sums up Razzmatazz, in that case any event can merely be called an Event. What makes Razzmatazz different is – it gives a personal experience.
If you look at it – delivering experience is not the same as serving a customer ,it is about going beyond. Together is we have created “Value of Experience”. Do you know the most virtuous thing about experience? Its - While the work may be finished – the value of experience persists in the memory, it never fades away. And Razzmatazz has stamped many experiences that turn into memories – Happy, Crazy, Cheery – Funny – “god help me Humour” – “please stop – don’t want to ruin my mascara” laughs…….it will remain etched and whoever were present will always talk and remember the good moments they had and shared with the Aditi Family.
You think it is done? No! We had souvenirs to take home – they were so prettily packed, such poignant gesture, it Stimulated Optimism and Happiness and who wouldn’t like Gifts just before Christmas…. :)
Just a Minute:
My Moment Of Glory
You probably be knowing it already, I’m very comfortable in talking, I can talk to candidates, clients or anybody for that matter. But trying to ad lib in front of 150 people is definitely not in my comfort zone. I’m not sure how successful I was at emceeing for that brief period, but that has given me an experience that would never go out of my head. As you hear them say “when on top of the world do yourself a favour – Enjoy the View” that’s what exactly I did. Every fear I had while preparation was replaced by fascination and the excitement of what I was going to do. This quirky one-time emcee felt pretty and did what she can do the best – Talk ;)
