Seasonal Uptick in Channel Market Demand
With major shopping events like Singles' Day(Double 11),Black Friday, and Christmas
approaching, channel market demand is experiencing a seasonal boost, with China showing stronger performance than other regions. Manufacturers are accelerating shipments to reduce inventory, with stock levels at some firms nearing optimal levels.This week, channel market prices remain relatively stable, supported by this demand increase.
1.Comprehensive Price Cuts for Embedded Products
Due to the discontinuation of MLC by certain manufacturers, orders from downstream clients have surged. However, small-capacity eMMC prices have softened as storage manufacturers reduce prices, Larger-capacity embedded products have also seen price drops due to increased supply and weaker demand. Low-capacity LPDDR shipments are rising with demand from POS systems, though embedded product prices remain on adownward trend overall as clients push for lower prices amid restocking for educational tablets and overseas proiects, Prices across the embedded product range have seen an overall reduction this week.
2.Aggressive Price Cuts by Storage Manufacturers Drive Down SSD Prices
To alleviate inventory pressure, storage manufacturers are competing fiercely, resulting in aggressive price reductions. Some manufacturers face excess capacity, increasing shipment pressures, and widespread reports of stock dumping. The PC market has been particularly turbulent. This week, SSD prices across the industry saw declines, with prices for hiah-capacity drives dropping more sharply, while memory module prices remained stable.
3.Samsung Expands Manufacturing in India
Since expanding its Noida plant in 2017,Samsung has boosted local smartphone production, with an increasing share now made in india for export. The Noida plant's qrowing capacity supports Samsung's supply chain in lndia, with exports to Europe and Central Asia showing notable growth by 2024.
