I know you are trying to get it done, check it off your list, be productive, and efficient, add value, and stay ahead of things. ? I know you feel obligated sometimes and often just really want to genuinely help.?
And . . .
Sometimes you just feel that if you don't do it nobody will.? Or that you just have to do it.??
Stop and just check in with yourself for a moment.??
It's ok . . . nobody is watching (wink).
Take a deep breath and turn your focus to your inner world.? See if you can connect to a place of stillness and calm.? Imagine a glassy smooth mountain lake of crystal clear water.? The kind that if you were to throw a stone, the ripple could be seen until it hits the shoreline and turns back on itself.??

From this calm center, I want to invite you to . . .
STEP-OFF the Crazy Train
Just notice how your brain has all kinds of reasons why this is just not possible . . . because you are just so busy.? So committed to [the kids, your job, what the boss needs, what your team needs, what others expect from you] and all the excuses.? The thought might even piss you off that I suggested such a simple thing.??
I mean really? Is it possible to contribute and not have all this busyness?
Just notice and get curious.?
Ask yourself.? How do I step off the Crazy Train of being overly busy? And then listen hard as the answer reveals itself to you.??
I know you want to.?
I know you don't love your life being so full of obligations and endless lists of demands with fast-approaching deadlines.? I know.??
The problem is that while we don't like this stress, we are also wired to seek instant gratification.? Which keeps us busy seeking instant gratification.? It is also referred to as seeking pleasure.? Think of the dopamine rush of checking yet another thing off your to-do list.? YES!? It feels really good (for a moment) to get things done.?
My brain is wired the same darn way.??
Seeking Pleasure = BUSYNESS
Connecting to DESIRE = Contribution
The solution?
Engage with your desire to CONTRIBUTE.??
Slow down enough to get quiet inside.? Close your eyes if that helps (it always helps me).? Think about contributing.? Giving of yourself.? From the heart.? What would you be doing more of?? What would feel like a contribution rather than just busyness???
"Contribution starts with a desire from your heart and the outcome is a? feeling of meaning and deep satisfaction."?
That is a different feeling than the instant gratification of checking off something on your to-do list. Scurrying from here to there, meeting one deadline after another.??
FEEL the difference.?
How Will You Know if You are Doing it?
Here is what will happen when you connect with what you really desire to contribute --
Only you can bring your unique contribution to this world.? Only YOU!

Doing your personal work . . . discovering and developing your inner world allows you to get clear on your DESIRES.? When you can really feel desire, you are able to clearly see your values.? Values are uniquely your own.? Knowing your Values guides you to being able to contribute from the heart.? Contribute what only you can contribute.???
