Especially when going up-hill, it is important to keep moving forward. When we are faced with adversity we have to keep moving forward toward our goal, no matter how tough it gets. We have all had those times when we feel like we have done enough and cannot continue. Keeping the faith and pushing one more level usually will get us just around the next bend and as our adrenalin kicks in. 

People think Einstein had it made because he was a genius, however in truth he went through much adversity and ridicule early in his life, only to persevere and validate himself. His uncomplicated simile here makes a simple statement to us all. Keep moving forward even when sometimes we might coast for a season, but keep moving forward.
