As we come close to the end of the month; we should all reflect on how well our change process is going and when I came upon this quote, I couldn’t help but think how the meaning pertains to our change process.
Making a change is all about changing our today to potentially create a better tomorrow. In essence, we are creating a new future by making a change today.
One of the most successful female skiers in history is Lindsey Vonn. Before every race, she always mentally pictures the “future” of her completing the course.
In an interview Vonn said, “I always visualize the run before I do it". "By the time I get to the start gate, I've run that race 100 times already in my head, picturing how I'll take the turns."
But she doesn't just keep these images in her head. She also physically simulates the path of the race by literally shifting her weight back and forth as if she were on skis, as well as practice the specific breathing patterns she'll use during the race. She is doing these things to better predict her future outcome.

There is a saying that there are three types of people. Those that have no clue about what is happening, those who watch things happen and the final - small group - that makes things happen.
