Quite Thinking-Start Doing!

Don’t get me wrong - I believe in positive thinking, goal setting, affirmations… all that stuff.
But…
That’s the starting point. It’s important, but it’s only the beginning.
Ultimately, success is determined by WHAT you do - not what you THINK about doing. ??
?? Thinking is easy.
?? Doing is tough.
There’s two reasons why that’s so:
1) Confidence
2) Overwhelmed-ness (Don’t think that’s actually a word - but it should be.)
Let’s address these. ??
?? Confidence
It’s easy to think about something you want to happen. When I was in 7th grade, I had a massive crush on Abby Flint. I envisioned what my life would be like if she was my girlfriend. I could picture it in my mind.?
But did I ever try to ask her out? ??
Of course not. I was too afraid.
Suppose she said “No”??- that would dash my dreams. Better to live a fantasy life of her and I together, rather than face the potential reality of her saying No-Wayand then telling all her friends about the dweeb who tried to ask her out. ??
And that pattern repeats itself over and over throughout our life.
?? We focus on the possible negative outcomes, and it freezes us from taking action.
So the first thing we have to do is reset our mindset, so we’re focused on the positive - not negative.

Building confidence isn’t all that hard. All you have to do is believe in yourself and (more importantly) quit worrying about what other people think.
Which is why I created my Unshakable Inner Confidence program that you can check out HERE.
Which brings us to the second reason ??Overwhelmed-ness?
We have an abundance of options for achieving our goals.
In fact we have too many choices. ??
So, being human, when faced with a boatload of choices we do what humans typically do… we do nothing.
So, what we have to do is the following…
1) Focus on 1, and only 1, project at time
2) Start by mapping out the journey. ??? Put where you are right now on one end of the spectrum - the goal you want to achieve on the other end.
3) Break the journey down into 6-8 steps.
4) Outline very specifically what you need to do at each step… what resources you need.
5) Assign time frames to each step. ?
That’s basically it. Don’t overthink it. ? If you do - you’ll never get out of the planning/thinking about it stage.
?? Success comes from doing.?
Onward!
Mark
