A Morning Reminder of What Truly Matters

This morning, I woke up early to tackle my routine—clean the rabbit cage, prepare veggies for our fluffy family member, and write before my son woke up. But, as fate would have it, my son woke up at the same time.

Instead of feeling frustrated, I seized the opportunity. I asked him to help with the bunny. His compliance rate was 100%, and he did an even better job than I would have!

Afterward, he looked at me with a big smile and said:

“We have such a nice family, the three of us. I am so happy with our lives.”

His words triggered two emotions:

  • Bliss: For me, success is defined by the health, peace, and love we share as a family.
  • Appreciation: Because not so long ago, life looked very different.

I vividly remember sitting on my couch years ago, staring out the window, feeling lost. Would anyone miss me if I were gone?

Back then, I was mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted, unsure how to move forward. Life had kept me in Gladiator mode, always fighting to survive.

When things finally began to stabilize, I had to learn how to let go of hyper-vigilance and live with a regulated nervous system. It was unfamiliar and challenging. Years of expecting the worst had conditioned me to live on edge, bracing for impact.


From the Depth of Darkness to the Light of Healing

This week’s theme is about my journey through depression and how I realized, in hindsight, that it wasn’t just depression—it was a call for deep rest.

While my experience won’t resonate with everyone, I hope sharing my story inspires hope and reminds anyone struggling with mental health:

You are more than enough, simply by birthright.

One of the most empowering tools in my healing journey was envisioning what my future self might say to me during tough times. This visualization helped me stay motivated and focused on hope.

Thursday: Jupiter’s Growth ??

Theme: Rising from Darkness and Overcoming Despair

Jupiter, the planet of expansion, encourages us to find light in our darkest hours. Growth during despair doesn’t mean pushing pain away—it means choosing small, meaningful steps toward hope.

Practical Strategy: Use the ABCDE Technique to navigate dark thoughts with compassion:

  • A: Acknowledge your feelings.
  • B: Breathe deeply to center yourself.
  • C: Challenge negative thoughts.
  • D: Develop self-compassion.
  • E: Execute one small action to move forward.

Key Insight: Growth during dark times isn’t about grand leaps—it’s about steady, intentional steps.


Friday: Venus Friday ??

Theme: Poetry for Healing and Self-Love

Venus, the planet of love, reminds us that self-love is where healing begins.

This week’s poem reflects on the journey from despair to self-acceptance, a universal truth discovered through hardship: “Life is not meant to be lived in someone else’s clothes.”
