The quiet before SHOT show

As I write this, hundreds of companies are diligently working on plans for the the 2017 SHOT show in Las Vegas. From finishing specific products to deciding who will cover what, the work is challenging. All for what has been dubbed the Superbowl of the firearms industry. I am personally excited to once again head out to SHOT. It is a great time for me to visit with the people in our industry and to get a look at new products. The trip for me is multi-faceted in that I am actively searching for material for new magazine articles while simultaneously catching up with friends. I do my best to prepare for the event by reading social media posts from companies, reading industry articles and visiting with contacts. Even with this, I always find something new at the show. If you are displaying at the SHOT and have something you want to share, please let me know. I have several appointments already set but I am always open to meet great people. Safe travels to everyone headed to Las Vegas!
