The Quickest Way to Happiness

A quick trick that helps me every single day. You see, the path the happiness can be counterintuitive in my experience. Generally when people think about happiness, they think of things that will make them happy in the future like a nice house, a new car, their dream job, etc. However, happiness is a feeling that can only exist in the present. So when we're thinking about those things that can make us happy, we're actually moving further away from the feeling of happiness that we're seeking.
So what's the quickest way to feel happy immediately? It's simple - just make somebody else feel happy. Right away, you'll get a rush of that warm feeling that we refer to as happiness. Since you're feeling it in the present, the benefits are immediate.
Give it a shot! Go tell somebody thank you today. Tell somebody that you're grateful for their hard work, friendship, or just for being them. It WILL work!
I received this info from a meditation app called Headspace that I've been trying to use for ten minutes every morning. This was one of the best takeaways that I've gotten from it so far and hope to pay it forward.
In business where things can often feel like a roller-coaster, this is one of my "secret weapons" that I use all day long. :)

5 年So simple but yet powerful, thanks for the tip Luke.? I like to think of happiness as "on the service" and a precursor to "joy" which is much deeper , eternal, and when you have it, it allows you to weather the roller-coaster of life in a stable way.? Have a great week!
