Quick Tip on Scaling Performance Max Campaigns
What’s the timeline for Google Ads success?
In the past, our rule of thumb was 90 days for a campaign to be fully optimized.
After 90 days, we would have enough data to decide whether or not the campaign would be profitable and scalable.
Then, Performance Max was launched. And the 90-day learning period was no longer applicable.
With PMax, it took roughly 45 days just to see what we built and how it was going to work.
Essentially, Day 46 became Day 0.
The question today is, should advertisers and business owners running their first-ever Performance Max campaigns wait 45 days before optimizing and scaling?
Or can you already make adjustments if your sales are increasing?
In this video, John talks about when to scale your PMax campaigns…
And how to properly evaluate campaign performance, preventing wasted ad spend and false performance metrics.
