Quick tip on negotiation
You are negotiating your next job offer or buying a used car or maybe renegotiating a better rental rate, and from the other side, they say sorry it is the best I can do, take it or leave it. What do you do to accept the deal or walk away?
When you're facing a negotiation, where you don't want to cave into a take it or leave it, then there's this research back technique to boost your chances of getting a better deal.

First, you want to get yourself into a choice mindset, pause the negotiation, and then give yourself time to write down all the choices you have and the choices you think the other side has. When you come back to the negotiation table, your list of options will prompt you to ask meaningful questions, like "what about? If...", "can we consider?", which can move the negotiator past their ultimatum.
For example, in a salary negotiation instead of getting a no raise or less raise option, you can negotiate for better health insurance or work-related travel or even more vacation days, so remember to list your choices and their choices then prompt on the alternatives to moving them past their initial ultimatum.
