So a quick roundup of what has happened over the last couple of days?

HMIC issue a report detailing apparent failings within some Police forces in England & Wales with regard to firearms licensing. The news media turns this in to a frenzy of imminent massacre warnings and factually inaccurate articles about “gun” licensing in the UK.

Chief Constable Andy Marsh welcomes the HMIC findings.

A vegan and Vice President of the League Against Cruel Sports is appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

One of our team receives an apology from Merseyside Police regarding comments one of their officers made about “firearms being a blight on communities”
