A Quick Recap of Ansi Bytecode's 1st HR Meet 2023

Greetings fellow HR enthusiasts! I just had to take a moment to send a massive THANK YOU your way!

On 4th Nov 2023, Ansi ByteCode LLP hosted its 1st HR Meet under the initiative of, "By an HR, For an HR." & let me tell you, it was simply amazing.

A room full of HR maestros, all ready to take on the enigmatic Gen Z with wisdom & enthusiasm. The topic of the day was "Building a Gen Z Friendly Workplace," which was as interesting as it gets. I can guarantee that the opinions that were exchanged were equally diverse as the emojis seen on a Gen Z's phone.

"What do Gen Z Want?" was the primary question that sparked discussions. Responses differed, emphasizing the value of experiences above a work, schedule flexibility, & a setting that embraces modern culture. The topic of attracting & retaining Gen Z talent then came up. It became clear that providing a modern workspace, & flexible work hours are essential components of an appealing workplace. We looked at some of the workplace patterns that Generation Z has established, such as the idea of "bare minimum Mondays," "quiet quitting," & the phenomena of "rage applying." These patterns show a shift toward more casual work environments & a desire for a better work-life balance.

The question of whether Gen Z is the most stressed-out generation in the workplace also came up during the event. Although everyone experiences stress, it was recognized that Gen Z would encounter particular challenges, highlighting the importance of encouraging & understanding working environments.

Ritam Jani from LinkedIn provided helpful insight on employee branding, highlighting the significance of authenticity & purposeful engagement.

An analysis of the reasons why Gen Z is heavily driven by pay brought the discussion to a close. Key motivators were found to be pragmatic factors like the desire to follow modern lifestyle trends & financial freedom.

But the real magic? It was the energy in the room, the spontaneous moments of laughter, & the companionship that made this event truly special. I couldn't have asked for a better group to share this experience with A big thank you to everyone who shared their knowledge with us throughout our conversations. You guys covered it everything, & I really enjoyed taking it all in. From flexible schedules to dynamic office cultures to a tribute, I loved it all.

Oh, & the best part? This is just the beginning! We're gearing up for an even bigger HR Meet next time – more attendees, more laughter, & who knows, maybe a few surprises up our sleeves.
