Quick Quick.......Slow

Now I know that we have barely scratched the surface of 2016 but enquiries have been coming in from UK land owners far and wide during the first 3 full weeks of the New Year. Sites spanning 13 counties are either being marketed via Landsource or assessed and unusually for us, 50% of these have planning approval.

Turning specifically to transactions, we've agreed 2 deals this week at both ends of our spectrum. The first is a small Surrey High Street mixed use site with detailed planning for apartments and retail. Our buyers are keen to acquire speedily which is just as well because if we can't contract within days, the property will hit the auction floor...

At the other end of the line and representing a 'dim and distant' transaction is the confirmation of a collaboration agreement between our clients and 2 land owners with a 28 acre site in East Sussex. With some good fortune, this transaction could crystallize in advance of my free bus pass!!

That's the long and the short of it......
