?WOW this is quite the flip from the popular "Mamba Mentality."
Here is THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER IN THE WORLD at this moment saying he wishes he had more time off from basketball...
What?
This is so counterintuitive to what most of us have come to believe in with the "hustle or die" mindset.
You can't say he doesn't work hard or hasn't worked his butt off "In the Dark" because you don't become the best by accident. What this does say is you can become the best AND STILL like to have time off.
This is a great lesson for leaders.
Your A players might not love the game as much as you do. They might not love the hustle or grind of overtime as much as you like it.
They will do it to attain the goal, but once the goal is attained, they want to spend time with their families and their horses (in the case of Nikola here).
·???????? Know your team.
·???????? Know what drives them.
·???????? Know what fills them up.
When they work to help the team reach the goal make sure they get more of what they want.

·???????? “The tried-and-true 60-40 portfolio lost 17% last year, its worst performance since at least 1937, according to Leuthold Group analysis. Even with a 14% gain in the S&P 500 helping the strategy recover in 2023, stocks and bonds have moved in tandem, more over the past three years than any time since 1997, Standpoint Asset Management analysis shows.”
·???????? Love a good info graphic
·???????? This would be a fun one to show in a seminar
·???????? I know this has nothing to do with retirement or financial news, but I thought it was interesting!
·???????? “Interestingly, even the flaws that creep into both swings are the same. One of the most notable is "drifting" in baseball, which is the same as "sliding" in golf. This is when, basically, players overdo their weight shift, which costs them power.”
