You should either be very excited or very nervous, depending on your outlook on things…! Either way, this almost signals the culmination of a long process that has included an endless number of technical, legal, and other experts including those in the business community.
?
It is important to note that at the time of writing these regulations were not yet in force.?They will be put into force via government gazette by the Minister at a date yet to be determined.
?
To help you prepare I’ve prepared a quick guide below for you to share with your colleagues so everyone is on the same page.
?
I hope this is useful and my colleagues and I at MMRisk (Pty) Ltd are always available to chat about this further.
?Stay safe!

2 年A long time coming, and the intentions are good. It will be interesting to see how the government plans on getting the resources and competence to enforce these regulations, given it will be applied quite inconsistently across the industry depending on the process safety maturity of organizations. Either way this will be a long journey for everyone involved. Good luck!
