QUICK FIX BRANDING

It was in the middle of my Digital Marketing class last week that Phase 2 opening was announced.
My hospitality participants were anxious to start operations. They asked for quick solutions to beef up their social media presence.
Quick fixes seldom work. #Branding is a long term, sustainable game. Still, they sought for quick ideas. I offered two:
1) MASSIVE DISTRIBUTION - LIVE!
One of the fastest ways to gain traction is to go on Facebook and Instagram LIVE. People love to hear people talk, especially on live mode. That's why Tekka Wet Market became the Tekka WEB Market.
For FMCG goods, this mode is good for leapfrogging to gain massive distribution in the social media. Not to be done once, nor twice, but consistently.
2) DRAMATIC DEMONSTRATION
There's no business like show business, literally. Show your best selling point and make it big. If there's a signature dish in the restaurant, make that dish super attractive so people can recognise and desire for it. If you're selling a vacuum cleaner, make it suck a bowling ball!
Branding is a long haul, consistent game. An empire can't be built overnight. But if there's a need to leapfrog, the above two ideas may just work, for a while.

4 年I would like to say that this is an enlightening post, thought it appears deceptively simple. I am with you to say that building our brand is like building an infallible empire. As with all good things in life, establishing a name for ourselves takes time. Plus, an empire has all the strengths and leverage to grow our business. Empires only crumble from within. That happens when the empire is build using quick fixes such as plasters, dried saliva and weak adhesives. I like this short (and profound) read, Sandra Tan. Thanks for this.

4 年Thanks Sandra. I like the idea of generating accelerated leads through branding. Is Facebook Live easy to set up? Any suggestions on good reads for FB live?
