Quick Excel Tip - How to use the VLOOKUP function
Let’s say you have a table of IT support tickets with the following information as per the table below. Let’s also say that you have a table of end-user data, and want to include your end-user’s email address with each support ticket.
You could use the vlookup function to get this done:
Step 1: Sort you list of users by name in alphabetical order.
Step 2: Enter the vlookup function as per below:

Step 3: Copy cell F2 and paste across F3 to F11.
Step 4: And you're all done :)
