A Quick Course on Lean

Over the weekend I got asked the best way to teach students the principles of Lean via Zoom.

One of the key lessons from our Educators Conference is that when teaching online complex information needs to be delivered to students in small, easily processed parts.

Lean and Systems Thinking are so key for complexity reduction. It is self-evident for all to want simplicity - but like any tournament or contest - not all players will succeed. It is very hard to self-inspect and to come to grips with the math and implications behind queues, cycle times and process waste. The challenge increases when the 3 - 5 Whys are used to further analyze the data. It is hard (team) work - but it is worth it. The benefits of lean, lean/agile will help the organization be successful at the even bigger mission of the organization.
