QUI QUESTION: Customer service is a performance art. Are you Oscar-worthy?

QUI TAKEAWAY Movie actors like Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Dwayne Johnson, and Keanu Reeves act to be happy, sad, scared, scary, or angry. Yet, we, as the audience, believe they are genuinely real. The actors may "act their part," but we, as the audience, believe they are real. Whether actors are acting the part or know they are "for real" doesn't matter. It is never about the actors. It is always about the audience.
As a customer service professional, act to be happy to serve your customers, so much so that they believe you are genuinely happy to serve. It doesn't matter if you act it or not. What matters is if your customers believe you are genuine. When it comes to customer service, it's never about you. It's always about them. So, like the movie and theatrical actors, be Magnificently Boring! Consistently deliver a "better than the average experience that customers expect” so tediously repetitive that you feel it is boring, but to the customer, at every moment, you are Magnificent!
Oscar-worthy, in fact. So when it comes to customers, customer service, and customer experience, don’t just be good. Be GREAT out there!

6 小时前Customer service is a performance, and the best professionals deliver a consistent, engaging experience just like great actors on screen. It may feel repetitive, but to customers, it’s what builds trust and loyalty. Being “Magnificently Boring” isn’t about routine it’s about making excellence the standard. That’s what makes service Oscar-worthy!

6 小时前Love this analogy! Just like great actors make us believe in their emotions, exceptional customer service creates a seamless experience, whether it’s effortless or not. Consistency may feel repetitive, but to customers, it builds trust and loyalty. Great service isn’t just about reacting—it’s about creating a memorable experience every time!?
