Queue management ?mentality?
Since my first journey in ?event gypsy? world, started from Olympic Games in Sochi, I was wondering what is the standards in organizing queues in different parts of the world? What are the standards and types of fan-barriers are used in different countries?
So, for example, in Russian legislation it says that fan barrier and queue management system should:
- Have a height of at least 1.2 meters.
- To form a corridor with a width of not more than 0.75 meters.
- Withstand a horizontal load of up to 150 kilograms of force per square meter.
- To provide the possibility for spectators to exit the queuing system without creating interference.
We did one queuing system per 4-5 fullheight turnstiles with corridor width around 0,90 meters and length of ?snake? 40-60 meters.
Any articles to share, links on legislation and standards in different countries? I would highly appreciate.
