Questions to ask during an interview!
Often when interviewing with a company it is all about what the company wants to know. It is equally important to ask questions you want to know so you can decide if your skills and talents would be a fit for the company you are interviewing with, not for. Here are some sample questions you can ask:
- What is the role you need me to fill? What would I be doing in this role? What contributions will you expect of me?
- After being here for 6 months, what would you expect?
- What projects would I be working on and how critical are these projects?
- What is your long-term expectation for this role?
- Who has been most successful here in the past? What skills and characteristics do they have?
- Why did a need come up for this role?
- What do you think I could do to bring value to the team?
- What is your pain point?
- What issues has this team been faced within?
What are some of the goals your team has and what has you excited about them?
These questions not only help you understand how you would fit in the team, but also give you a chance to sell yourself.
