When did you start working for SSL?
I started working for SSL in June 2023, as my first professional role in the industry the time has absolutely flown in.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety! Very rarely are two days the same in this job and it’s nice to have the chance to be in the office but also out on site. The job can take you to some stunning places as well. There’s nothing better than sitting in a beautiful field looking at the view and thinking I’m getting paid to do this!
What would your perfect weekend look like?
Probably a big long hill walk followed by a pub lunch somewhere up north. A spa weekend wouldn’t go amiss either mind you!
What’s something surprising that not many people know about you?
I actually worked in a covid testing lab for a year during the pandemic. Was something I’m quite proud to be a part of as we processed the whole of Scotland’s covid tests – sometimes up to 100k tests a day!
What type of books/movies do you enjoy?
I love a good thriller/horror – especially cringey ones from the 90s like Scream!

What are some of your favorite local spots to visit?
Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow is somewhere I spend a lot of my time in Summer! It’s around the corner from where I live and the first place I go when I finish work and the sun’s out.
What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on and why?
A few years ago I went skiing over new years – any new year since hasn’t quite compared to bringing the bells in in the Alps!
What is your favorite food?
It’s got to be Italian – pizza or pasta with wine is the ultimate comfort meal.
If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why?
I would definitely want to be able to teleport – such a time saver!
