Question?
Most of you know that I’ve been writing daily on FB for a year now.
My motives for doing so were not centered on growing an audience and getting likes.
Which is why I never tried to post on any of the other platforms (it was hard enough just to get the daily journal post out anyway).
However, my business is evolving from being primarily local to being national, as I’m now coaching and mentoring others in building their own retirement pensions through passive real estate investments, as I’m doing.
Right now, I’m finding new clients through paid ads, which is working as I can target real estate investors or people interested in real estate investing across the country.
However, as much as I post, very little is ever directed toward acquiring new students/clients.
Which seems a little silly for as much time as I dedicate to publishing every day.
It also seems silly that I’m not even trying to grow my audience or reach with the content I do post.
Recently, I began having Emilia assist me in re-posting some of my daily journal entries on LinkedIn.
We have also been exploring different methods to share them on Instagram. However, she believes that videos would be much more effective on that platform.
Additionally, some colleagues have suggested that I create investment advice videos on YouTube to attract new potential clients for my courses and coaching programs.
So, I’m considering starting a new YouTube channel dedicated to teaching investing strategies and using some of those videos to post Reels on Instagram.

I’m not worried about creating the content, as I could talk for days with valuable insights about real estate investing, so doing daily content would be no trouble at all, BUT... it’s a lot more involved than just turning on a camera and recording. it includes editing the videos to make them fun and engaging. Then, upload them with links, hashtags, and text. Finally, respond to comments, etc.
It's a lot of work.
I know I could do it, I’m just debating if I should?
I don’t think I need to do it, but I do like the idea of expanding my reach and impact. I prefer not solely relying on paid ads to grow my business. Plus, I know in the short term that my business could suffer as I add on yet another huge time commitment to my day.
I think the only way to effectively pull it off would be to get a social media manager / video editor to assist me.
Anyway, that’s what I’m thinking about… if I make the full leap into social media or not, and if I do, how I should do it.
By the way, if anyone reading this happens to have any thoughts, advice, or recommendations, I’d love to hear them.
Good night friends,
Cheers,
Mike T.
