Before you accept the next truism that sounds like wisdom, ASK.
- Does this really make sense?
- Who said this and in what context did they say it?
- What is their agenda??
Everyone has an angle. Sometimes it aligns with your angle. A lot of times it doesn't.
Before you spend all your energy pushing someone else's agenda and truth, be sure you know YOUR OWN agenda and it is in harmony with what you are pushing.
ASK QUESTIONS.
My people say "the man who asks questions never gets lost".
Unfortunately, this is one trait that schools has been so invested in beating out of us.
As children, asking questions came natural to us. Then we went to school.
At school, ANSWERS are the prized position. To ask is to admit being dumb. And no one wants to be that guy. So we learnt to keep quiet in our ignorance.
In reality, their fear was that if you asked enough questions, you'll soon ask one that the teacher couldn't answer. Then you would show off the "all-knowing" teacher as ignorant in something.
Our world is struggling because we have so many people vested in being right and not enough people questioning the status quo.
Yet, it's immensely clear, those who ask own the future. They see the faults in our present version of reality. This seeing will be key in their invention of our alternative futures.
