So, what connects The Queens Shilling, Prince Harry, and The Pathfinder??
That’s a great question that warrants an equally great answer...
So, let’s jump straight in and consider what sparked my interest in posing such a question and putting pen to paper.
Just like the fantastical story of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe presents us with the escapades of hero’s, villains, and eventual salvation. I believe the Queens Shilling, Prince Harry and The Pathfinder presents us with a story of honour, challenge, and salvation.
I recall vividly what happened some 39 years ago on Monday 16 March 1981.
This was the day that marked a significant life event for me. This was the day I swore the oath of allegiance, took the Queens shilling, and enlisted in the Army. A solemn occasion indeed and the day that changed my life forever.
Swearing the Oath was personal acknowledgement and acceptance of my duty of allegiance towards my Queen and country.
?
The words and meaning remain the same today as they did then and are just as principled.
‘I?swear by almighty God that I will be faithful, and bear true allegiance to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her heirs and successors, and that I will as in duty bound, honestly and faithfully defend her Majesty, her heirs and successors in person, crown and dignity, against all enemies, and will observe and obey all orders of Her Majesty, her heirs and successors and the generals and officers set over me.’
Some 25 years later, on 26 January 2006 Prince Harry would have taken a similar oath of allegiance to the Queen (his grandmother) when he joined the British Army.
Which makes the release of his book, ‘Spare’ even more interesting because much of the content seems to fly in the face of the principles of the oath.
Since discovering the leaked content of the book prior to its official release on Tuesday 10 January 2023. I have monitored press releases and Harry’s comments. I have also spoken with a number of my Veteran Buddies to gain their take on his revelations. Their reactions range from being disappointed and saddened, to dismayed and shocked by his unguarded comments.
Now, one thing you may know about me is I treat the conversations I have with my friends, family, and clients about personal, business and military matters just the same as I treated the classified and secret information, I had access to when I served for 15 years in the military.
What I can to share with you from my conversations, and it will come as no surprise is Prince Harry’s quest to reveal his side of the story may well have attracted unwanted attention and encouraged precisely what he tells us he has always wanted to avoid. Media interest, negative publicity, and a diminishing chance of reconciling his differences with his family.
What seems most unkind is his attack on his stepmother Camilla Queen Consort when she cannot defend herself. A position which Harry as a royal says he was restricted by and is precisely the reason he has written the book. Could this have driven an unmovable wedge between him, his father King Charles III, and brother Prince William or, as often the case, will time prove to be the greatest of healer?
Cross hairs on Harry - has Prince Harry become a target for extremists?
Setting aside any possible family rift caused by Harry’s book, the biggest concern must be his reference to the 25 suspected Taliban insurgents he killed during his two tours of Afghanistan.
According to reports from the leaked manuscript he said he was neither “satisfied” or “embarrassed” by the fact. “In truth, you can't hurt people if you see them as people,” Harry said. “They were chess pieces taken off the board, bad guys eliminated before they kill good guys. They trained me and they trained me well.”
Anas Haqqani, a senior member of the Taliban government and a member of the Haqqani Network commented “The ones you killed were not chess pieces, they were humans; they had families who were waiting for their return,’ This retort must raise concerns for the U.S. and U.K. because they label this organisation as a terrorist group.
Add to this a response from the Former head of the Royal Navy, Admiral Lord West, who commented that Harry was putting the security of the Invictus Games—a sporting competition that spotlights wounded and injured veterans that was founded by Harry—into jeopardy, calling his publication of his wartime actions “very stupid.”
And Tobias Ellwood, the chairman of the Defence Select Committee in the U.K. Parliament and a former British army captain, told press that “there is the unwritten assumption that nobody publicly discusses kill counts for the principal reason that it can have security repercussions.”
Whatever your view on the possible security issues raised by the publication. Surely, a possible unwanted outcome for Harry is he could become a target for extremist organisations with the cross hairs focusing on squarely on him and his family. A situation I am confident he would not have wanted when baring his soul to all.
If I were Harry, which I am not, I would be reviewing what the original intention of writing the book was and measuring the results achieved to date.

For what purpose...
If his intention or purpose was to release his memoirs to create shock and awe with seemingly little or no regard for the consequences, then I think he would be happy with the result.
If on the other hand, the intended outcome was to resolve the friction between himself and his royal family members, then I think it is safe to say it has failed.
Or, maybe he was using the opportunity as a cathartic therapy and also to financially secure the future for himself and his family. Only Harry and his closest allies know the true purpose and whether he has succeeded
I know you know my mission is to help 1 million business owners and veterans achieve the financial freedom they desire, deserve and dream of. And to assist me in achieving my mission I have put pen to paper during the pandemic lockdown and dedicated my life’s work in a programme which I have aptly named The Pathfinder Success System.
So why call it The Pathfinder Success System?
Well, just like the Pathfinder military unit inserted or dropped into place in order to set up and operate drop zones, pickup zones, and helicopter landing sites for airborne operations, air resupply operations, or other air operations in support of the ground unit commander.
I have created the Pathfinder Ultimate Success System to help you get behind your exterior which often veils the challenges your true self faces on a daily basis and delve deep into your subconscious mind. This process then frees you up to discover your true purpose in life. Helps you remove any of the limiting beliefs you may have and realise your true and fullest potential.
So, what is the outcome I want to achieve from this soon to be published Pathfinder Ultimate Success Programme?
Well, it is twofold, not only do I want to help those of you who choose to invest in the programme. I am also donating 10% of the proceeds from the Pathfinder sales to help me help a military charity achieve its mission to build 23 Lodges at a bespoke location. This venue will offer veterans and their families a place to relax, rejuvenate and re-engage with society so they can be the best they can be.
The exercises, metaphors, examples and though provokers I share are based on the experience, skills, and wisdom I have gleaned from the Giants who have gone before me. This includes the countless Army Instructors who painstakingly trained me during my military career to become a first-class soldier, leader, and instructor. The many coaches and mentors who spent time educating me in business acumen, the business code of ethics, and attain the appropriate financial and business qualifications needed to attain (for the last five consecutive years) the coveted title of being recognised as one of the UK’s Top Rated Financial Advisers as voted for by my clients.
Now I want to share with you the opportunity to help me in my quest to help others by giving you access to details about The Pathfinder Ultimate Success programme.
All you need to do now is click here where you can find out more about what I have created for business entrepreneurs who are just like you… ?
Oh, and just one more thing…
Because I always want to go the extra mile and help 1 million business owners and veterans achieve the financial freedom they desire, deserve and dream of.
For every 10 copies of Pathfinder Ultimate Success Programme purchased I am donating, via the charity Transformation for Veterans, a copy of the same programme to a veteran so they can benefit from the life changing content too. I believe this is truly a win win. A win for you and a win for our veteran community. Here's the link to get involved
Finally, remember to watch out for my LinkedIn live when I will share with you my personal take on what I think is likely to happen going forward
