Quebec Family Sponsorship Cap

The Government of Quebec has reported that as of June 26, 2024 to June 25, 2026 inclusive, new rules will be in effect for the receipt of family reunification applications.? The Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration will accept a maximum of 13,000 applications to sponsor a family member. Applications will be received on a first-come, first-served basis, and as follows:

• A maximum of 10,400 applications for an undertaking by a guarantor in favour of his or her spouse, common-law spouse, conjugal partner or dependent child aged 18?or over;
• A maximum of 2,600 requests for a guarantor undertaking on behalf of his or her father, mother, grandfather, grandmother or in some cases other relatives.?
