Since our last newsletter, the MCP team had the pleasure of meeting many of you in Barcelona at Telemedia8.1 and Mobile World Congress. Telemedia 8.1 was extremely busy and (note to the amazing organisers) we wonder whether this event could be extended to two days next year to allow more time to meet everyone??
From our various conservations with partners at these events, there appears to be a lot of interest in markets like Austria, Colombia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Peru,?Switzerland and UK. Whereas in MENA, where we have been investing significantly in recent years, the focus is predominantly on GCC countries including Bahrain, KSA, Kuwait,?Oman, Qatar and UAE,?with interest too in Algeria, Iraq, Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia and South Africa.?
We?had many insightful discussions on emerging trends and challenges facing the industry in these regions. For those of you who didn't attend, or we were unable to meet, MCP’s Ksenia Prepyalova was interviewed by Paul Skeldon of Telemedia Online about these trends and challenges. She shared her views on the geos and regions where compliance is going well, what lessons can be learned and applied to where it isn’t working, and how AI could be the key to cost-effective compliance monitoring and control. You can watch the video interview here.
We were also delighted by the excitement around the next version of MCP SCANNER, V4.0, which will launch soon. There is still time to contribute to its development by providing valuable feedback and suggestions. Email Thomas Tinker – [email protected] - with your thoughts to help shape the features and functionalities of MCP SCANNER V4.0. We appreciate your input.?

Transparency and Brand Safe Advertising
MCP was thrilled to be invited to collaborate on a whitepaper with mobile growth platform provider, Smadex. Exploring the impact of fraudulent activities on the mVAS/DCB value chain, geo specific trends and regulatory requirements, and best practice for “transparency and brand safe advertising”, we think you will find it a useful resource.?

Inspiring Inclusion: Women in Tech
Earlier this month we celebrated International Women’s Day by shining a spotlight on some of the women in our team. Many tech companies have a poor record on inclusion when it comes to employing women, especially in technical roles. So we’re very proud to have women in our team at the forefront of AI, automation and fraud detection.?
MCP Live in Germany?
???? Earlier this year we started monitoring the German mVAS/DCB market. With the reintroduction of DCB as a payment method, we're already seeing some interesting trends developing in this market. ?????
