Hello and welcome to Cling’s newsletter (edition iv) - an update on our latest developments during the previous quarter.?
Trading momentum, team expansion, and battery shipments have continued at pace. Every week that passes demonstrates the need of improved digital infrastructure to enable battery circularity.
By the end of this newsletter, you’ll have greater awareness of activity on?logistics,?trading,?team development,?and?marketing.
????Ongoing investments into logistics expertise
- Sitting at the center of an ecosystem of supply and demand enables Cling to optimise logistics routing and costs.
- With our growing experience of coordinating shipments of batteries all around the world, we have evolved our services in generating and managing shipping documents - services that have been used by car dismantlers, OEMs, other traders, as well as shipping companies.
- More thoughts on the world of battery logistics in our latest?Blip
?(a new short-form blog).
If you want to know more about shipping batteries, do get in touch with Cling’s Supply Chain Manager?Axel Wimby
.
- A particular highlight for us was concluding our first trade with an OEM for their European stock of warranty batteries. The batteries are all between 65-70% State Of Health (SOH), which makes the trade one of the world’s first, if not the first, commercial trade of batteries with relatively?low SOH to second life deployment.
- The deal was enabled by multiple what-if agreements and various terms that distribute the risk between the sellers, Cling, and the buyers.
- Trading performance continues to grow larger every month with 9 MWh traded in the year to date (YTD) 2023.
For any sales or trading enquiries do get in touch with Cling’s Sales Director?Elias Kull
