Yesterday night, while writing my weekly journal, I realized that June 21st marked the beginning of my 25th year in my professional career. The last 24 years played like a movie reel in my head, bringing back memories of achievements that were monumental at their time, even if they seem smaller now. I also remembered many failures and mistakes—some small, others disastrous—that, although often forgotten, have provided significant learnings.
These 24 years have been a roller coaster ride with the expected ups and downs. I've seen peers move ahead, some left behind, and it's fascinating to observe how each of us has our unique journey. There have been numerous people who have supported me, and an equal number who have tried to pull me down, ultimately contributing to my learning and growth. Reflecting on this, I realize that I’ve forgotten many of them.
To honor this milestone and the lessons I've learned, I've decided to write for myself, 25 major learnings and observations from the last 24 months over the next year. This exercise will be both a personal reflection and an opportunity to share insights that may resonate with and benefit others.
Stay tuned for more on this.
