“Quantum Leap” sequel series news
A “Quantum Leap” sequel series has received a pilot order at?NBC,?Variety?has learned. The project is one of two drama pilots ordered by the broadcaster.
In the new iteration, it’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator - and vanished.
Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.
Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt are writing the pilot and will also executive produce under their I Have an Idea! Entertainment banner.
Both are currently executive producers on the NBC TV series “La Brea".

My comments about Quantum Leap (2022):
Have them go back to our year 1993, and give us a more memorable and meaningful ending to the TV series.

Especially important is to finally bring Dr. Beckett 'home'! <= note the correct spelling!
Until actor Dean Stockwell [who played Rear Admiral Albert 'Al' Calavicci] died in real life in 2021, the Admiral could have then tried to bring Dr. Sam Beckett back home again.
This would *not* "contaminate" the plot line, but *would* give viewers the [eventual] satisfaction of bringing Dr. Beckett home again to *his* wife.

In a new 2022+ show, Sam, Al, or a new [hopefully team of leapers] could still occasionally go back in time under more controlled conditions.
It's been 30+ years, so, even if still not perfect, the technology in the year 2029 should be much better = more controllable than before, right?
Well placed, intelligent humor is still important to a successful series = as it was for the original Star Trek (1966-1969)
Question: Don't they really need the amazing actor Dean Stockwell to make the new show a hit?
This is now a time travel "catch 22" - since they have to go back in time to get the now deceased actor back for the show!

IF only someone had a script for this new series where Dr. Beckett could still occasionally go back in time under more controlled conditions.
He could be sent and returned in a generally controlled fashion.
Sam would still "appear" to be a person in our past, but the Quantum Leap equipment could 'place' Dr. Beckett at a more precise point in our history.
Say that Sam is sent back in time to 1963 to try to save the life of President Kennedy...
But, you say, how can JFK *both* be saved and be shot at the same time???
Answer (in my movie): What if there are two shootings at two different times & dates, not just one?

Excerpt:
For the fiction of the show, Sam *could* .and. *should* affect history – but, with?only one exception, the show never even tried to make a real positive difference to society --- though that WAS the show’s basic premise. ***
One exception: "Goodbye Norma Jean" (April 4, 1960). As the chauffeur of Marilyn Monroe, Sam must save her life [from a drug overdose] and help her to make one final film, The Misfits (1961). https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0681124/
My episode would have changed all that.
Let’s call my episode “Episode: Tomorrow was Yesterday [President Kennedy] 11/2/1963 & [President Powell] 3/30/2001" (the old TV show had an episode title. & date that the change to history happened).
My plot was seemingly simple: Dr. Beckett would go back in time to 1963, and prevent President Kennedy from being shot...

Is the 'on screen' year now 1999 plus 30 ???
i ask because, during the five year long run of original show, the 'on screen' year was always 1999 (?)
My comment about how 'well' the 2 writers have been at another sort of similar show:
"La Brea" is sort of a "hollow earth" based show,

Before Lucy can respond, they find Booth and Garcia along with the others he plotted the assassination of not only Lincoln, but Vice President Andrew Johnson, Secretary of State William H. Seward, and Union General Ulysses S. Grant. Flynn's Agenda
My Comments: The Above Information is 100% Correct !
BUT who was calling the shots, and paying for the decapitation?
Answer: The cabal - within our US Government was lead by Secretary of War Edmund T. Stanton and US Senator John Conness. Funding was from British Bankers.

The Lincoln Assassination Conspiracy
Cross reference to my post:
The Conspiracy to Assassinate President Lincoln: April 14, 1865 - Posted: April 13, 2015
On April 14, 1865, the US President, Vice President, Secretary of State, and Head of the Army were all targeted for assassination by a cabal, led by the Secretary of War, and including key Legislators, and business leaders, who wanted the War to continue, and, afterwards, to have the South be punished for seceding from the Union. Funding for the overthrow of our Government was provided by British Bankers...
Why not change history for the better - no matter what the consequences are?
This was also a defect of Quantum Leap. Only once in five years did the show say "No! i *can* indeed change history for the better!"
