Quantum Leap: Landon Capital Published Research Report Analyzing the Quantum Computing Market
Landon Capital’s analyst Muhammed Saqib wrote a very detailed analyst report uncovering the Quantum Computing: An Emerging Multi-Trillion Opportunity. In this report, Muhammad Saqib discuss the value of some players in this space and the overall market opportunity.
In the report analyst Muhammed Saqib indicates that he evaluated Quantum computing has transitioned from a largely experimental field to a high-impact technology with the potential to revolutionize industries. Enabled by qubits and the principles of superposition and entanglement, quantum computing addresses a broad class of problems that outstrip the capabilities of even the most powerful classical supercomputers. In a world where billions of dollars are at stake in finance, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and chemicals, early indications suggest that quantum systems will redefine risk modeling, accelerate new drug discovery, and optimize large-scale logistics operations. Emerging evidence of genuine quantum advantage in specialized tasks has galvanized government agencies and corporate leadership, who increasingly recognize that these machines could exert an outsized influence on the global economy, with McKinsey projecting up to $1.3 trillion in value creation by 2035. Some of the competing players in this space are tickers (NYSE: IONQ), (NYSE: QBTS), and (NASDAQ: RGTI). The research report can be found on FactSet, Refinitiv, and Alpha Sense.
Pentagon Prepares Potential Cuts for DOGE- Per WSJ
Some parts of the U.S. military are readying lists of weapons they have long considered canceling ahead of potentially deep cuts by the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency, according to the Wall Street Journal.
?Citing defense officials, the WSJ reported that members of Musk's DOGE team are expected at the Defense Department as soon as Friday. The paper added that The Pentagon has received a list of DOGE officials due at the department but has not made it available to the public.
?One official told the WSJ that some military services are preparing to offer up their own desired reductions as part of a bid to avoid more cuts. The Defense Department's budget stands at more than $800 billion, amounting to over 10% of the $6.75 trillion federal budget.
?A list from the Army includes outdated drones and vehicles that, if scrapped, could create up to billions of dollars in savings, the WSJ said. The Navy, meanwhile, is proposing slashes to its frigates and littoral combat ships, the report noted.
The WSJ added that the Air Force declined to comment on its possible cuts, although Musk has previously criticized its $2 trillion F-35 stealth jet fighter program.
?However, the WSJ flagged that the cuts could face pushback from members of both the Republican and Democratic parties, as military spending is key for many local economies across the country. Some programs, such as the F-35, even stretch across a large portion of the U.S.'s 50 states.
?Since its creation under President Donald Trump last month, DOGE has quickly moved to seek out perceived government overspending. Recently, it has unveiled buyouts to federal workers who agree to resign and suggested that those who choose not to participate in the deal could lose their jobs in a wider effort to downsize the government. DOGE has also pushed to dismantle an agency responsible for providing aid to the world's needy and another that aims to offer protections to American consumers from exploitative lenders.
