The Quantum Generation is Coming
Today I said in my page "A very strange generation is coming! None of them has Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. They do not shoot selfies, they send short and instant messages, moreover they use programs that never leave any trace behind. I started to scare!" Then I started wondering, what is going on with the new generation.
I thought almost all the generations that I can imagine, how much we changed; arrogant 50s, high 60s, nihilist 70s, Peter Pan Syndrome 80s, digital 90s, now silicon 2000s. Technology for sure has the biggest influence on every generation. But if you think, it is too simple to use computer technology for a child who was born right after the new millennium. You don't have to explain them anything about our cellphones or any application. They naturally know how to use the technology, because the current knowledge is too simple for them. This generation needs challenge.
If you look at the big picture, the new millennium's children don't like selfies as we do. They don't care what food they ate last time and they don't want to share their food's pictures. They don't show you where they went on holiday. They don't have Twitter sarcasm. They are quiet, they watch everything around them very carefully, their ego is under their control, they love music, movies but they are not fans of any musician or artist, even they do not have any rock star posters on their walls. If you speak about internet love, they look at your face and ask you "how can I love someone that I never saw before?"
Let me go back a little bit. Imagine a child born after 2000. Videos and every kind of digital cameras exist. These children's life is archived by their parents since they were born. The moment they opened their eyes to planet earth, millions of photos were shot until today. I think that's why they don't care about taking more photos of their selves.
Back to previous generations, the TV was the nanny, but then new millennium's nannies were cell phone and tablet applications. Even if you wanna stop a crying baby, you don't need a pacifier any more, just give your cell phone into their hand, they will stop crying. These children know how to open an application before they start talking. I have a friend, she has a baby boy, who is hardly 2 years old; time to time I receive from him WhatsAPP messages, he is cooing on the phone, but he knows how to record his voice.
Everything that we use today is too simple for this generation. That's why I call them the "Quantum Generation" because, for the future these children will create a technology we cannot even imagine. I heard about quantum computers which are computers that make use of the quantum states of subatomic particles to store information. The sound is too complicated for us, but for sure not for the new generation.
The technology will shape their psychology as well. Our generation is suffering from narcissism; it is almost epidemic right now. I wonder when the new millennium's generation reaches our age, what they will think about our generation's cyber-sex, selfies, internet romances, daily food pictures... well, I am also so much in these stupidities, I don't even know what real stupidities we are doing anymore! I'm a humorist, but these days, I advise my close friends "you don't need my jokes to laugh, just read the news!" Do I have to scare from the new generation or hope from them? I don't know anything, but I think I have more hope than fear when I speak about them.

7 年Despite the quantum, generation supported by all kind of AI, automation,, more knowledge than their parent, they still faced more problem, bottleneck in fighting the unknown, uncertain future, uncertainties . They need work harder through adaptive learning for problem solving based big data analytics tracking the causes, consequences , how of problems solving the help of quantum computers

7 年An interesting article, so true to believe should we embed the true knowledge of quantum physics and the mechanics of nano-molecular structures of a material, human cell, plants cell, and any other forms of living and non-living materials to this concept of quantum physics and the leap of changes going to the future of on how these kids will learn that is too advance and complex, than what we have grasps in our generations, and the new generations after us. There has been a discussion to one of my fellow commentator in my LinkedIn network looking at splicing the Human cells into a micro-nano min-nite level using a 10 millionth magnification level as it is possible to do in a vacuum space and stable environment. The intention is to understand the human cells able to heal wounds, able to grow new cells, able to process fats, body fluids, how it makes human sperms, and many other functions that comprises our human body, of what we made of? My answer that everything is possible but the challenge is to understand the 95% of Human DNA structures but until now we don't have a clear picture of what it used for? My guest that they are the memory storage tissues that our brain uses to extract and store our memories into these cells.
