??? This is the Quantum Decade. We can expect these 5 (and more) Quantum trends in 2023 and beyond.

?? 1. QUBIT MEGA SCALE UP

??? Quantum Computer manufacturers will rapidly and massively scale up the number of #qubits per system -- from 500 to 10,000 to 100,000 to 1,000,000 and beyond -- applied to various real-world use cases, with "noiseless" error-free qubits. We also will see examples of photonic and neutral atom quantum.

?? 2. QKD CYBERSECURITY

??? Technically, Quantum is unhackable. Quantum Key Distribution (#QKD) shares a randomly generated “key” between two points of communication. The secure key encrypts and decrypts the message. Near term, QKD will be placed in quantum microchips, making it widely accessible.

?? 3. QUANTUM as a SERVICE

??? To overcome the cost barrier, Quantum as a Service (#QaaS) from cloud providers such as like Google Cloud, Amazon AWS, and Microsoft Azure will bring quantum security and speed within reach of any business. This will help companies "bridge" the gap between classical and quantum computing, using hybrid technology.

?? 4. INTERNET 3.0 TELEPORTATION

??? Internet 3.0 (Web3) will operate via 5G and "#Teleportation" of qubits via photon repeaters. Infrastructure grids such as utility networks will adopt Quantum cyber-proof "smart" grid abilities, again using QKD. "Glocal" (Global + Local) collaborative partnership centers will arise to further advance Quantum R&D and services.

?? 5. Q + AI CONVERGENCE

??? Quantum and AI (along with ML and DL) will converge into what I call Quantum Advanced Intelligence (#QAI). Their combined power will literally transform everything about life, society, economics and business. QAI will also converge mobility, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Virtual Reality to launch Phase 1 of the #Metaverse.
