The quality of your life depends upon the quality of conversation you have with your inner self
We live 24 hours with ourselves but the important question is of those 24 hours how much time we actually spend with our own selves. I hope this has got you thinking and if it hasn't then please read that again till the time it really sinks into you.
It is imperative to form a strong bond with ourselves and in a time like today its even more crucial. You can't have your life on Auto mode especially if you feel that it's not serving you with the results you want. I am sure you might have come across many quotes saying to look within but do you actually know how to do so? The answer is simple: Inner dialogue.
How you speak to your own self in aloofness or even when in a crowd makes or breaks you. The arrays of possibilities are scanned open depending upon the kind of conversation you have with your inner self. Each and every word that you silently mutter to your own self, slowly tilt the direction of where you are heading. This is why it is ever so important to have a good list of words at your disposal to make the right kind of impression on the mind.
In this short blog, I will give you a few statements that you can immediately exercise in your life to see if they are making any difference to your current life position.
Statement 1: Let me do this tomorrow?
Replace it with: How will I benefit from it if I do this today?
Statement 2: I will start the exercise from tomorrow?
Replace it with: My health is my priority which cant wait till tomorrow
Statement 3: Its too tough for me to even try it?
Replace it with: With repeated efforts and practice I will get better at it.
Statement 4: Its too risky to start my own business?
Replace it with: If I plan it well, I can pull it off
These are just 4 statements but every hour we are confronted with so many conversations that are going inside us that decide how we will act or behave in the day.
The decision from what to eat to what we wear at work everything is governed around our inner dialogue this is why it is imperative to give this conversation complete attention.
When talking with your own self, listen to what your tone is, catch it when it is talking about others, hold it when it is about to spit venom on others, embrace it during gratitude and appreciation and reward it when it stands true to its commitment. This is how you build a rapport with your inner warrior. This is the warrior that will stand with you whenever you will be confronted with situations that will require you to see beyond your own self.
Negative self-talk is not only defeating but also misleading it puts you in a position that is absolutely not real. This is why it is imperative to break the flow of your thoughts when you find yourself procrastinating. Positive self-talks on the other hand allow you to see beyond things you cannot see as it is always guiding you in the direction you wanted to be in.
Friends, I cannot even express the significance of this concept because I have seen so many people destroying their potentials because they have been too heavily invested in damaging their own self-worth through their self-talk. I hope this article will allow you to take a realistic note of your self-assessment and encourage you to establish a more productive conversation with your inner self.
